Great Course
First time playing this course! It was great. With how many people that were there I was surprised with the fast pace of play. 10/10 recommend!
Find local course
Great course for a no frills round of golf. Green fees are doable, the driving range is excellent and the staff is the best.
Great Course, Not So Great Members
The staff, range and course are awesome. Greens roll fast. But we had 2 run-ins with “members” that kinda tarnished the day. One called the marshall on us on the 2nd hole thinking we didn’t belong or have a tee time scheduled. The other was wildly rude at the turn because we were trying to keep pace of play. They put us behind by 15 minutes. Aside from these interactions, the place was nice. Not sure we’d play again though.
Worth the Drive
I came up from Spring Valley to play the course, and was not disappointed. LOVE the course. A few fairways had some dry spots but not enough to be an issue. The sand in the green-side traps is very thin, with hard pan underneath - do not use your high-bounce wedge. The greens are in great shape, consistently fast and some are very tricky to read the slope. I carts have geo-fencing limits that will stall or stop the cart to keep you out of areas they don't want you to go, but there are very few warnings on the cart display. End result is that you don't usually know where those "fences" are -- got pretty tired of that! All in all though, the course is well worth the price.
Find course at affordable pricing
Great course for all of those. Looking to play late in the day. Lots of teetimes at decent prices. The course is in good condition and holes are challenging.
Poor Condition
This course has been in terrible condition for far too long.
The rough is deep and wet. in many case its a swamp. There are muddy areas in the fairways and many holes have numerous bare dirt in front of the greens. there are also bare patches on some of the greens. Traps are often muddy dirt (no sand). Tee boxes are generally in poor shape with bare patches and little grass.
Pathways to the Tee Boxes are bare dirt (often muddy)
The green fees were raised a couple months age, ostensibly to allow better maintenance. So far I've seen no improvement and in fact conditions have gotten even worse.
I will not play this course again and don't recommend it to anyone.
Greens were solid
A few dead grass spot areas but the course is in very solid condition and the greens were rolling fast and pure.
Neighborhood course
I’ve played this course many times and it can be a different course based on the course maintenance
Yesterday the rough was really deep so it was definitely a bit more challenging on my errant shots
The lack of real sand in the traps is just a mystery to me! Although you don’t necessarily need a sand wedge with the hard packed dirt.
Cart paths are terrible.
All of that said, I had a blast! Will continue to play it often. BTW… contrary to its name… it is not a links course!
Nice Executive
Mower guys may disturb your game. We left our game at 13th hole because a loud mower was next to us for 4 out of 13
St. Marks was better
Was my favorite course when it was St. Marks, but under new management it is not worth the price. Nothing has changed other than; wooden flag posts with white flags(very difficult to spot with the backdrop of white painted houses in the community), doubling of the price of green fees. The new fees are not justified, still horrible drainage, irrigation issues, course management with no Marshall. Pace of play is always slow and gets backed up right after hole 1. Mud, puddles and dry spots everywhere, the pathways are old and broken up( very rough cart ride).
This new management has ruined a local spot for golfers with these new rates
4.25 out of 5
Liked the fairways, and the greens were great. Some greens had dry spots towards the edges but didn’t really matter. Rough was challenging, liked that part. I walked it and it was nice walk. Steep though around holes 13.14.15.
Course is in great condition
This is a fun little course that has a loyal following. Great place to work on your wedge work. Greens are good for the amount of play and roll consistently. Some of the tee boxes are a bit bare, but remember you have two club lengths.
