Timeless Layout
Sublime golf architecture on the front nine. Will play whites next time. Par 3 are hard enough from the whites.
Heaven on Earth
We love everything about this course, with the exception of one thing ... the approach shot over the ravine on number 2. It's a false front and if you don't land on the green, but just in front, your ball not only rolls back but it rolls all the way down to the bottom of the ravine. A suggestion would be to let the fringe grass grow a bit longer so as to stop the ball. Other than that, it's a perfect golf outing, with magnificent views all around. Great golf staff, too!
Sloth Play
Very slow. Almost three hours for the fist nine. Felt like the 405 during rush hour. But, course is beautiful, great shape. Just too many people with no Marshall speeding play up.
Wonderful course and great staff/service per usual.
Great Golf But Overpriced
This rating may be a little harsh as the course was in great condition and the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Pace of play was good.
Sounds like a 5 star but my only complaint is the price. Got a Hot Deal at $99 per round but that seemed well overpriced for me. I know you are paying for the atmosphere and I get that because it is a beautiful place but still too much for me.
Easy on the Eye - just not from the Tees
Great course in top condition. All the off course benefits of a 5 star resort at your beck and call. Great staff.
Layout is tough but fair and it is gorgeous - until you put the peg in the ground. The course has many holes that play with your eye off the tee. Not optical illusions, just very few “standard” eye lines on the holes. There’s a majestic oak blocking your fade - or a deep ravine on the hook side - or a blind dog right that requires a drive left to catch a slope. And who knew an inland course in drought stricken SoCal could have an island green to rival any PGA course (#16).
Makes for a challenging layout.
Lil expensive but worth it
I got a great deal on golf now, the course is in a beautiful setting and in great condition. A must play at least once
great course
pace of play was slow because of a golf tour, BUT it is a
great course to play, fun day!!!
