Diamond in the rough
Worth the drive. Course was in great shape. Greens were excellent speed and consistent. Awesome views. Friendly staff. Weather cooperated. Perfect day of golf.
Greens still sandy after several weeks + Extra charge to ride single
The greens are still sandy after several weeks.
The course if also charging extra if you want to ride single in the golf cart. This extra charge and the condition of the greens is not listed or mentioned in their booking site or in Teeoff.com
The previous week their charged me $25 to ride single, this week $15.
Most courses at not charging extra to ride single because of covid.
Last week they said they are having issues with their golf cart batteries and did not have enough.
Rude staff at Copper Valley, over charged for use of golf cart
I was charged an extra $25 to for a single cart rider. When I mentioned that the website did not say anything about incremental charge for a single cart rider I was told by the Shop Manager that the website does not have to say anything and that I don't have to play if I don't want to pay the extra charge.
While I understand that courses may have different rules, first these extra charges should be spelled out in the booking websites. And the Manager does not have to be rude about it.
Also, the green have been punched recently and the website did not said anything about that either.
Friday afternoon golf
I absolutely love this course. Very beautiful and great shape. The greens had just been punched and sanded, but other than that, great course and great shape
A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THE VISTAS FROM EVERY HOLE
Never in my wildest dream did I have so much fun losing brand new $7.50 golf balls (Honma TW-X) is what I play $89.00 per dozen. Donated 6 of them to feed the fish, on various holes. I could play this course every day, but definitely with a 15 pack of Pinnacles.
I love a challenging course, and Copper Valley is like having a bag of popcorn, watching a darn good movie with the wife, and a bottle of $250.00 champagne. As a 15 handicap, I would probably play from the gold tees next time. My little 225 yd drive from the white tees, made me realize, I need to eat more beans!! However, I'll be back soon, when the fairways get nice and firm, and 20 yds of roll is in my favor..... Wonderful staff too!!
I dare you to find a course in better condition, from tee to green. Yes, they do have 110 ft greens, with tons of undulation. Well worth my 3 hr and 15 min drive from Rohnert Park, CA.
Great layout and staff
I live in the gold country and the level of service exceeds any of the other golf courses in the area. Course and greens were in excellent shape.
Course format
Because of the time of year they are starting everyone at the same time at different hole locations (tourney style). Course and greens were in great condition where as some of the tee boxes were a little rough. Overall a great course, can’t wait to go back in the spring when it’s warmer!
Stay away not worth the price
Terrible staff from the pro shop to the Marshals, even the bartender was uninterested in customer service. Course condition is going downhill fast. Greens were still growing back from being punched about a month ago, and there was still a fair amount of sand on the surface. Proshop threatened to ban my 4 some and was very rude because our cart had a low battery and they sent a message for us to drive it back to the shop. Could have easily been resolved by sending out a replacement to swap out while we finished our round. Will not be back not worth the $100 tee time.
1/2” of sand on greens
Greens were heavy sanded no notice of sanding greens when I made reservations
One of my favorites
Highly recommend! If you’ve never played here it’s a must. Nice little downtown area to eat at afterwards.
Wonderful and fun course
Played on the Monday morning. Pace was good (<4hr) even with a 4-some in front of us. Some holes are wide to fly nice drives and some holes are tight to challenge course management. Greens are in good condition but they are slow for me (runs about 8/9 I think) with little breaks.
I played the blue and the par 3/4/5 are all in good variety of lengths to utilize different clubs for me.
Will come back to play this great course again. Only small complaints are that tee-boxes are over-watered in the morning. I feel my shoes actually sunk into the tee-bod surface, and almost slipped on another.
