About Evermore Orlando Resort

The former Grand Cypress Resort, which featured the luxurious Villas at Grand Cypress, has been a popular part of the Orlando resort and golf scene since the 1980s. It is in the midst of a comprehensive long-term renovation and rebranding to become the Evermore Orlando Resort. Both the Villas of Grand Cypress and the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the LPGA Tour are gone, but the New Course, also by the Golden Bear, remains open, as does the large Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. Evermore hopes to debut in summer 2023. Read more about the project here.

A pristine course and excellent value for the GolfNow price.

This is a top-notch course with an amazing clubhouse, staff, and layout. They treat you like a king from the moment you arrive. Free valet parking, friendly locker room attendant, gracious starters; the service was impeccable. There is tons of open room in the fairways, so you can spray the ball and still score, provided your short game is up to the task. Perfectly maintained with a tremendous staff that allowed me to play as a single in front if the first tee time of the day. I was able to cruise around in less than 3 hours while still shooting an 82. Make sure you play to the right flag on all the double greens. Not sure I'd pay the regular price, but at a 60% discount on GolfNow, it made for the perfect morning of golf.

The course is one of the best in central florida

The course is a great experience. The greens are the fastest in orlando and it feels like you're at the old course.

5 1/2 hour + round with no rangers to enforce pace of play

Not worth the $102 we paid on Golf now, and not worth the 5 1/2 round (11:20 tee time) we had to endure. Course is pretty fun for the first 9 holes, but then repeats itself for the back nine.

No 1/2 way house or water on the course so you have to depend on cart girls.....I would hate to know what would happen if severe weather developed.

Save your hard earned $$$$$$ and PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Well manicured, unique course in great condition - love the greens!

Although a little confusing with the double greens, this authentick links style course has some of the best rolling and FAST greens in the area! The course is in incredible condition and is a great test of golf. Very unique course for Central Florida although the pace of play was very slow.
Highly recommend you work a round in on The New Course at Grand Cypress.

Course was great but pace of play terrible tee'd off at 1:30 on 10 could not even play 1 as it was very crowded.

Great course but tee times too close every 8 min means you wait on every hole

An Enjoyable Tribute to the Home of Golf

I recall that the New Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus to honor St. Andrews. It has double-greens; holes one and eighteen play across the same wide fairway and include a replica "Swilken Burn;" and hole 17 has its own road and wall behind the green. It's a fun course to play. The double greens are plenty large to avoid (usually) errant balls coming in from the other side while you're putting. The course is in good shape overall.

a tad over priced but a golf experience unlike any other in Orlando

this is a fun course to play because its a total links course, there are no trees pretty much anywhere on the course. what this course lacks in difficulty off the tee more than makes up for it around the greens, Yeah they are big as almost every hole is double greened but youd better be on the right level of your gonna have like 40 putts out here. like i said in my intro its a tad over priced in my opinion but nonetheless its a great course and worth playing if the price is right.

A great interpretation of St. Andrews. A must play.

I loved it, it is a wide open links style course that won't hurt you too bad unless you end up in one of the many pot bunkers. However, the greens were like a sloping gym floor and putting proved to be maddening at times. I actually putted OFF of the green twice. Still, I recommend to anyone.

I really like this course

This is a very open course. There are no tight fairway's or tiny landing zones. It is really a good course for a big hitter and not so much for a point and shoot accuracy type of player. It did play very differently this time due to the weather conditions. It was very windy - 35 mph winds which on an open course like this created a very challenging scenario. I do love this course, I can't change the wind.

What Bunkers!

This course was in pretty good shape. The staff was awesome and the course had many pot bunkers. Glad to say that my group was not in any of them. I would recommend this course to my friends. Wish it was a little cheaper.

Nothing like it in Orlando (that I've played)

While seemingly wide-open off the tee, there is trouble in strategic places (mainly where you think a good drive would be).
The greens were tough, but fun.

No trees but plenty of danger

Huge greens are great for the GIR but not so great for putts per hole. Great day of golf.

Good links course

Good course I preferred others we played better. did not like the double greens a few are cool but I think 14 holes were double. Busy day since they had a tourney and heard lots of fore's. some greens especially the par 5 on back (with that stupid wall in play) was not even fair. But overall enjoyed the course and would play it again

Sub Tropical St Andrews, what a great course to play.

There are 45 great Jack Nicklaus designed holes at Grande Cypress Resort, but the 18 of the New Course are really exceptional, not least because they are so different from anything else you'll find anywhere in Florida. Lots of courses in the Sunshine State claim to be like Scottish links, but this is the only one that really looks like it is.
Modelled on The Old Course at St Andrews, it has everything you might expect to see at the home of golf. Standing on the first tee you can see the white railings either side of the double fairway, The Swilken Burn winds across the front of the first green and off to your left is the eighteenth green sloping from back to front complete with a 'Valley Of Sin', albeit more severe than the Scottish one.
The entire, vast piece of land has been shaped to resemble the landscape of the links and it looks fantastic thanks to the great man's eye for detail. Because of that you can see several ways of playing most of the holes, after you've picked out the flag you're aiming for, of course.
There are many small pot bunkers that litter the course and are so easy to find, and you can find yourself closer to the other flag on the huge double greens than the one you were meant to be aiming for from the fairway.
Apart from where the burn winds across across in front of a couple of greens, and a lake to the right of the long 17th, there's no water to worry about here, and what a relief that is!
When the wind blows across the totally open stretch of land, as it did when I played, only the temperature is the difference between here and the Scottish seaside.
So, apart from the weather, what's different? The greens are slightly faster than links greens and the fairways don't run quite as much as those at the British seaside in summer, but that's out of the designers hands. Otherwise you could think you were there.
This is a great place to be and a fun place to play golf, don't miss it.

wind makes this a challenging course!

Be aware that the staff may change your tee time as they claim they can do it for up to ten minutes which doesn't seem bad except that at this time of year you may not be able to finish your round because of darkness.....

This links style course has fast greens.

Played as a single on Friday mid-morning. Was able to finish in a little less than four hours. The course was very challenging. There were many sand trips and some water hazards (moats) in front of the greens. Greens were large, fast and undulating. Fairways were wide with many pot bunkers and small rolling hills. If you went too far right or left off the tee, many times you couldn't see where you should be aiming your second shot. Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed playing this style of course for something different.

GREAT course. HORRIBLE pace of play.

NEVER saw a ranger but did see a sixsome!! Starter was more concernered with his golf magazine than putting two singles together - he never came out of his shed! Seems staff was more interested in tips than service although they were generally competent.

Had a 1:40 tee time and was told when I got there that booking thru GolfNow allows them to move it plus/minus 30 minutes - went off at 2:00 and finished 17 and 18 in pitch black - REALLY wanted to finish!

Fun course to play

Played the New Course. Conditions were great. Greens, fairways, and rough very good. Great course modeled after The Old Course. Almost cannot miss a fairway and that is fun.
