Evermore Orlando Resort
About Evermore Orlando Resort
The former Grand Cypress Resort, which featured the luxurious Villas at Grand Cypress, has been a popular part of the Orlando resort and golf scene since the 1980s. It is in the midst of a comprehensive long-term renovation and rebranding to become the Evermore Orlando Resort. Both the Villas of Grand Cypress and the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus course that hosted the LPGA Tour are gone, but the New Course, also by the Golden Bear, remains open, as does the large Hyatt Grand Cypress hotel. Evermore hopes to debut in summer 2023. Read more about the project here.Facts

Your approach to the 8th at Grand Cypress New needs to cross a burn, and you'll drive your cart over a stone bridge toward the green. Kitschy? Sure, but chalk it up to commitment to a certain aesthetic. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 08/31/2018

Links Golf
Nice layout with some very nice design. The course is not well marked therefore it causes a lengthy delay to golfers. GPS on the carts would be a wise addition as the holes tend to meld together which often leads to golfers playing the same fairways. Unless it becomes better marked, I would not play here again.
Good Course, but small tourney held up play, We were not informed of this Tourney until check-in
We booked this as a "hot-rate" on Golf Now. Teeing off at 2PM puts you right about at dark to get in 18 holes. With our foursome being 5-14HCP we move along very well. The course played difficult which is great for a challenge, but the pace of play was hard to deal with at times. I get its a resort course, BUT a lot of the golf course including Grand Cypress are trying to squeeze money out of each moment of daylight, making the value non-existent. If I could have gotten out of the 75$ per player plus tax rate for this time I would have. WE WERE NEVER INFORMED UNTIL WE CHECKED-IN PLAY THERE WAS A TOURNAMENT. Knowing that I would have canceled immediately.....This course was always good about offering local rates/FL resident discounts, but now its non-existent. Grand Cypress is a good course, but for 120$/per round and up, I am not seeing any reason to return soon.
Great golf and service!
Played back to back days with my son and enjoyed both rounds and lunch after. Every aspect top notch. Will always be on our agenda when I’m Orlando.
Fantastic conditions
A lot of fun, but stay out of all of those pot bunkers. Course is in excellent shape as usual and the staff were top notch.
Great course
Bad thing letting twosomes off on busy day when people are in line and have tee times very slow play because of this
5 Hours of Fun!
The greens were in great shape rolling fast & true. If you like links style gold you’re in for a treat. Just be sure to book with enough time to finish.
-Favorite hole is back tee #2 a par 5 requiring some accuracy off the tee with an elevated green that that’s hidden by a huge fairway mounds.
-Least favorite hole is 11 too with really little to no defense it’s also sandwiched between two holes just a little too close for the eye and comfort.
Great Course. Bad Pace of play
The New course was a very unique, challenging and fun course to play but the pace was terrible. Teed off at 1:40pm but were only able to get in about 14 holes before dark at 6pm because of about a 6 hour pace. Can’t believe course staff didn’t do anything about it. The course itself was really neat and glad we got to experience it while in town on vacation, just wish we could have played the whole thing.
Pace of Play
4 1/2 hours to play 15 holes Tee off at 1:33 didn't get whole round in. Paid for 18 holes.
On pace for almost 5.5 hour round of golf.
That's just ridiculous.
Top 3 in Orlando
Links style layout, easy off the tees but greens can be tricky. THis course is in our top 3in Orlando area.
A typical Florida afternoon thunderstorm rolled in just before our round. The clubhouse worked with us to figure out when we would be able to get out on the course. There was a few other groups on the course and pace of play was great. Nice course with open fairways and nice large shared greens. Thoroughly enjoyed my round and will be going back!
Links Golf at it's Finest in Central FL
I have been fortunate enough to be able to play Grand Cypress's New Course at least once a year over the last 10 years and it is always in phenomenal shape.
Greens are quick and smooth, but very challenging as they have a lot of movement. I do not find this to be a negative but something to be aware of before playing. It is imperative to hit the ball on the green in the correct quadrant in order to score well.
None the less I always have a great time on the New Course and keep coming back. It is an experience that isn't replicated in Central Florida.
A different experience
Not really like St Amdrews but excellent layout and very different to what you would normally play
Well worth playing
Must play in Orlando
This one of my favorite course in Orlando
The fairways are wide as you can get.
I did it lose single ball this time!
Must play
This course is a must play in the Orlando area. It is a very good representation of the old course at St Andrews.
The double greens were huge and the greens were true and quick. Lots of subtle breaks.
Be wary of the fairway pot bunkers.
We got held up by the group in front and a marshal helped us get through them.
How is $120+/round a "Excellent Value"?
