Don't be mislead
Forced carrie and , huge undulating greens make this a formidable challenge.
Florida golf
Nice little nine hole course. Greens In excellent condition. Good for working on your iron play. Just a little pricey for a nine hole venue. With that said we’ve already played here four times so we obviously enjoy it.
Good Course
Enjoyed the course and would certainly play it again. Even better were the practice areas.
Great round at Grande Vista
This is a very fun 9 hole layout and the staff is excellent. Played 18 holes and you can vary the tee selections if you want a different look. The clubhouse is really nice and part of a Marriott property. The fairways and greens are perfect with the greens being very fast and true. Pace of play is great and even though the par 3 holes are cart path only, the layout is such that you don't walk much. Look forward to playing this fun course again in the near future.
Good course a bit overpriced
Good course with friendly staff. Just a little bit overpriced
Great layout and excellent greens
I think that the greens are as good as I have seen. The course is in excellent condition with great practice facilities.
Nice people nice course
I enjoyed two rounds two days and going back tomorrow fun day
Short and challenging
A tough little par 32 within the Marriott villages and golf training facility. Challenges more than you think it will.
Winter golf
A nice 9 hole course to get the week started. Nice course, a little rough at the tee blocks, divots. Rental clubs were well used with a few odd irons. Grip on driver tore, putter dried out. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Beautifully maintained resort course
Played here about a dozen+ times over last year, along with many other popular Orlando courses.
Overall one of the best golf experiences in the area, Make an effort to get here early as they have a short iron and full driving range w/ Trackman, a versatile chipping area to test fairway, rough, bunker lies along with blind shots. The massive putting green also prepares you for the fastest and firmest greens in the area.
Tee shot placement is essential, setting up critical approach shots on each of the odd Par 4 holes. 1,3, and 5 are drivable (291-324) to setup easy birdie/eagle opportunities depending on pin locations. The Par 3 even holes 2, 4, and 8 are entirely over water although with slightly larger greens, but beware the greens are rolling like ice. Holes 7 & 9 will make or break your score with extremely difficult approach shots that can birdies into bogies with the slightest mistakes: 7’s approach will be around 100yd to tight steep-sloping green over a ravine and surrounded trees and water behind. Depending on long you can drive it, 9’s approach will be from a narrow fairway around 200 yd with water completely along the right, eliminating even the slightest push, definitely the toughest hole on the course by far. Take notes, enjoy the scenery and challenge yourself to fix mistakes and improve your score on the second 9. Staff is extremely hospitable from check-in making sure you are prepared to play to starter keeping everything organized to cart boys scrubbing down clubs and maintenance diligently keeping the practice faculties and course up to par, also good to see staff consistently monitoring pace of play. You do get a diverse group of golfers here but never does it take over 4 hours to complete the track twice. It is one of only two Marriott Golf Academy courses in the country, and also happens to be in the most popular tourist & golf cities in the country, which explains the price and pace of play to some extent, especially during winter. About half the crowd only gets outs for 9 anyways, but lastly come prepared with water/drinks/snacks as pro shop has just a mini fridge with gatorade, but no cart girl. Enjoy
