Allen

Course was in better condition than the recent reviews had insinuated. It was a bit rough around the edges and the greens had recently been top-dressed with sand but they rolled true. Coming out of cooler months I thought the grass was in acceptable shape and I am sure once the weather gets hot the Bermuda will grow in well for the summer season. Was an overall shorter layout but like any Pete Dye course it was about angles and your approaches to the green that mattered the most. Staying at the Omni it was convenient and I would play again.

All round Great!

What a fantastic layout. So many great golf holes that look fabulous to the eye. Conditions were great on the fairways, and the Greens were quick and true. The closing stretch of holes are a fantastic challenge running alongside the Marsh. Quite expensive but I have to say worth the money compared to some others.

The food in the clubhouse was good and all the staff couldn't have been more friendly/helpful. Thank you.

Used to be better.

I’ve play this course for 10 years. 0 handicap. The course is still nice but it’s nowhere how it used to be. They charge more money and the greens have become worse. Some of the tee boxes are hairy especially on par 3s. Since the management went to Amelia River and took most personnel with them, AR has gotten so much better and OM has went down. A lot of greens are bumpy with spots of other grass growing. Didn’t used to be like this. But since it’s a resort, they can still charge high prices and people will still play it. Very disappointing. They should at least bring back the FL/GA resident discount.

Low country course

This course was a challenge. Lots of hazards. Small greens. Fun to play. The staff were extremely friendly. The GPS was not accurate for getting to the club.

First timer at Oak Marsh

Confusing to get in the course as it’s in gated community. If you exit the roundabout and don’t see a guard house at the gates, turn around and exit opposite side of roundabout. Your GPS will take you to the course, but it’s the wrong entrance. Course is real fair if you choose the right tee box for your handicap & driving distance. Greens are fast but roll true with false fronts. Starter was nice and helpful and facilitators were very nice. Great holes with water hazards & classic Pete Dye design with the railroad ties. Played at 8:20AM with another single and we were done by 11:30 or so.

Pete Dye Wins Again

Great track, very fun and a bit challenging if you struggle with good club contact. False fronts and tiny greens ruled the day. Course was very well maintained. Greens rolled true and fairways were mint. Definitely worth playing.

Enjoyable Round

Oak Marsh GC was semi-challenging and very pleasant to view. Fairways and greens were on the mark for a resort atmosphere. Place of play was good, no real delays. Range was easy to access and comfortable to use. Beverage cart was always around to offer refreshments, and the on-course bathrooms were clean and accessible.

Just played LGPA in Daytona, so my comparison is somewhat biased as far as course conditions and playability. I joined a group, and I enjoyed their banter and laughter…great times. I would recommend this course to others.

More challenging than the yardage would suggest

The gold tees are only 6600, but the last three holes are all into the wind with forced carries. The greens were deceptively fast , more so than the practice green but were in excellent condition in late March. The fairways werent narrow but you cant spray the ball either or youll find a lot of strategically located water. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the pace of place for us was a std 4 hour round. I would like to play it again and would recommend it. The womens tees are quite forgiving.

My only issue was on the last two holes where reeds and bushes had grown directly in front of the tee boxes making it unfair to attempt to hit a the necessary low trajectory shot into the wind.

Challenging golf course

Overall the course was everything you expected from a Pete Dye course. Bunkers, greens and fairways in great shape. Very scenic holes from the back tees.
