Beautiful Track but Dye Always Wins
Oak Marsh is a beautiful track with outstanding views with lots of Pete Dye signature features: small crowned greens, waste area cart paths, narrow chutes. The course was well conditioned despite the greens being a bit slow having been punched a couple weeks prior. As with most Dye courses I struggled to hold the greens and even found the hazard on one hole despite landing well on the green. The pace of play was a bit slow as the course was packed. My understanding is that the course is a bit overtaxed since nearby Ocean Links was reappropriated. Amelia Island reminds one of a smaller Hilton Head with considerably viewer options for the golfer. Nevertheless, Oak Marsh is a gem and I hope I get back there in the future.

Not worth the price of admission
Staff is friendly but the course and amenities simply are not worth the price. Irons only on the range, greens are sandy and slow, fairways have patches where they’re putting in sod, no food at the turn (except for a breakfast burrito) and some tee boxes in rough shape. Played it before in much better shape. Even with a golf now deal it wasn’t worth it. Sad, because the views are beautiful. Hope they get it back to where it was and consider pricing it more reasonably.

Oak Marsh - All Pete Dye
Played. Lazy Saturday afternoon in early June. The course is relatively narrow and the greens are Dye postage stamps for the most part. Well placed bunkers can take Driver out of you hands if you’re long. Best to play 3W or hybrid a fair amount and then mid iron in. Bunkers are fluffy but well placed. Wind can really make course interesting and Sis for us. Great layout. Good value.

Another Dye Masterpiece
Absolutely great layout. Not very long 6600 yards from the tips. The greens were just punched less then two weeks ago and with below average rainfall they were a bit flown the rest of the course was very good. The pro shop is better then most lots of cool oak marsh merchandise and the people could not of been any nicer. Worth the drive from St Augustine. I will be back

Great course
Great layout. Finished the round in3 1/2 hours. Only real complaint are the greens were extremely slow. It appears the greens were punched and sanded a few weeks ago.

Fantastic golf course!
We played the course and everything was great ;but the greens. They were recovering from aeration and very slow. I just wish we had known ahead of time. In two weeks the course will be awesome.
