Good layout

Played as a single , late afternoon. Only took 3 hours as the course was almost empty. Layout was excellent, greens had been punched the week before and top dressed, so they weren’t rolling the best. Typical Dye areas around the greens with interesting chipping areas. Good mix of short holes and 4 tough holes from the back tees. Think it played longer from the back than yardage on card.

Great value, great staff in pro shop, will be back often as I just moved to the area

Course is in great shape

The course is in great shape and the greens are fast and the course layout is challenging. If you don’t like fast greens then this is not the course for you. The pace of play was a bit slow for my liking but we completed our round in about 4:30 hours.

Not a good value

None of the bunkers were worked up and playable. Greens were plugged and sanded. You banged the ball in not putted it..

Holes 7-9 and 16-18 are fantastic. Players need to play 16 from the gold tees (it’s only a golf ball) to see one of the best views on the entire course.

Oh yeah you can just each of us calls individually just call before the 24th in your credit card information that way somebody doesn’t have to go into

This is a beautiful course and we play it often but one thing that upsets me is that the GPS does not correspond with the pin placements on the greens. We do not know where the paint is on each hole which makes picking your club difficult.

Vacation Golf on Amelia Island....

Enjoyed a great round of golf with my son on vacation at a classic Pete Dye course. New golf carts were just delivered that week so we were first to use them! Course conditions were immaculate for summer time. Green were fast and true and not a bad lie on the course. Wish there were more amenities open at the course for refreshments but due to COVID, no such luck. Tee times only til 2:00 pm in the afternoon was a real pain...no late afternoon golf on vacation was a real bummer as we had beautiful weather the whole week and could not take advantage of a late tee time when it cooled off. Overall, well worth a play at a classic Dye course.

Awesome course

Well worth the trip up from st augustine. Grey course in awesome shape. Nice staff. No beverage cart on a Sunday is tough but there are a couple water and ice machines on the course.
