Nobody control the pace , wait to much in the tee it is no good and you lose the rhythm

First impression was horrible cart guy made no communication of what cart to load up, finally load up cart to head to driving range and it was off cart guy left. Paid for round thru a window, came back and cart was gone clubs back where I loaded them, mask and sunglasses lost in the cart. (Cheap shades and a disposable mask) no biggie. You have the walk to the “range” which is fine but having NO balls for the range at 10:45a is inexcusable had to wait 20 mins for someone to throw down a pile of balls no counted amount was just simply scooped up and dumped next to me maybe got 25-30 for $10... and the range is under power lines (who thought of that?) so before my round I’m thinking this place is trash. Pleasantly surprised. Good to great tees & fairways. Greens were well kept but a little shaggy, made up for it with tough hole locations so you still had to keep below hole or they were fast. Nice layout. Beautiful day on the course. Please get your cart girl some better mixers tho. Had a double of makers mark poured for me to be told all you had was Diet Pepsi to mix... but all the negatives had nothing to do with actual golf. The conditions of the course were amazing. And for the price you can’t beat it. Courses in Naples charge 3x as much for similar quality

I've played here a few times over the last couple of weeks, and it is nothing to write home about. Overall course conditions are ok, but the greens are SLOW. and sandy. Like maybe 8.5 on the stimp. Btw, when I asked the head greenskeeper what speed the greens were rolling, he didn't know!! On Monday, no cart girl, no bar, no food except candy bars, no ice, no water. No nuthin. Pace of play good. Lots of short par 4s and 5s. If ur hitting it well, it's pretty easy. But the greens ruin it. Want nice greens? Play Miami Shores. They are REALLY nice. But more expensive. take ur pick....

Parking lot, club house and pro shop in rough shape. They have let it go. But don't be fooled at that when u first arrive. The course is super. Big, smooth and wicked fast greens. Great layout. Back nine really challenging. More water comes into play.

I played several times before and it has been a few months to come back.

The first thing I noticed was new GPS installed in the cart and it worked very well.

The other good thing I like is if you get closer to green GPS warns you to move over.

If you continue moving towards(we used to do before), the cart did not go fast enough, in fact very slow. so you have to to reverse to move out of there.

Overall course condition was very good.

I will definitely come back to play.

Everything was OK except that there is no coffee available specially in the morning

If it's a fairly dry weather I definitely recommend this course. If it's been rainy, play somewhere else, because the course, especially the back 9 can't handle water real well, not a good drainage system. This time, the course was a bit soggy but playable. The only negative is that a lot of the holes in the back nine were cart path only and hole 11's tees were missing and the starter didn't even bother to tell us. The pace of play was excellent and I had a good round, so all negatives were forgotten. Out of the affordable courses in Miami, I would say Shula's ranks at the very top. Definitely recommend it.

When we arrived we were told the back nine was closed due to rain in the early morning (rained before the sun rise). They were going to check the condition later so we played the front, at the turn it was still closed....no rain since the morning still was told because of an inch of rain the back nine could not be played, “would not enjoy it” as we were told. What is not enjoyable is playing the same nine again...with groups all over the place. Groups that came in the afternoon just left and asked for money back! I was looking forward to the back since it was a complete different nine as the front. If this was a weekday of Thursday/Friday day it would be open because they would not want to lose the business. A course in Florida should be able to handle an inch of rain.
