The dunes is beautiful watery course. Not too long but it can be tight. The rain in January killed the greens. It's about to close for new grass.

Beautiful layout that runs through the marshes on Sanibel Island. Not a long course but lots of target areas to tuneup your irons. Bring extra balls. Played with a dad and his 12 year old son who turned out to be a drive, chip, and putt finalist. He shot a 75 while I played well to shoot 85. What a polite and talented young man.

Worth the drive from Ft Myers and wait on the Sanibel bridge. Enjoy the walk and the wildlife!

This course has a beautiful setting. Pretty vegetation, water, and lots of alligators can be seen. However, it is not worth paying $110 for the shape the greens are in. By far, the worst greens I have ever played on, even considering beginner courses with lots of amateurs playing on them. The fact that they are still charging what would seem to be full price is an insult to the game. If the greens are replaced it would be a very enjoyable course.

Nice course with a lot of wildlife activity. The greens need some work with sandy and low growth areas on numerous holes. Too many golfers on the course at one time for my taste. I was paired with two members and another single and we had a great time. No need to start on the 10th at 730 AM. OK value for the money.

Beautiful area with lots of wildlife doing their thing - gators in the gallery, pelicans and osprey feeding in the water, and other waterfowl grazingy. The poor conditions on the greens were a contributing factor to this rating. Many had sandy patches that made for difficult pin placements and were part of play on most holes. The other annoying thing was too many golfers on the course. We teed off before 9AM and we started on the 10th hole...am I missing something here after all it was Wednesday morning. My playing partners made the round most enjoyable as I booked as a single. For the money, I expected better...but understandable for the traffic on the course.

I have loved this course since first playing it over 20 years ago and have played it several times each year since. Short, even from the tips, but accuracy is the key with lots of water, small greens and OB close by on several holes. Wonderful island setting, and lots of wildlife to see. BUT played here in Octobed 2015 and the greens were poor, they are now shocking with bald sanded patches, several greens had fairly crude turfed repairs. Spoiled it fo rme big time....should be clearly highlighted to golfers before booking, and reflected in the price. I appreciate there had been lot of rain but several other noteable courses I played in the area had no such problems. For a course you simply must play it isn't good enough. Hopefully better before my return in Oct 2016. When in good condition this is some of the best fun golf courses you can play in SW Florida.....bar none. Still love it....

Course has lots of water but was well manicured, greens were in good shape except for one. Problem was extremely slow play, had to wait on every hole to hit and had to wait on virtually every hole to hit to green. Need much better marshalling. Given the price to play there they need to do better job of getting pace of play up or increase the time between starts.

Very enjoyable course, greens were a bit ropey but that was probably because of the recent rain. Look forward to returning

The course was beautiful. Water on all holes and multiple tees to be accomadating to anyone playing. The most wildlife and scenery I have experienced in the area. Great for an avid golfer or a person just looking to spend a beautiful day in a beautiful location. The only thing that could ruin such a beautiful place is playing golf on it. Recommended for everyone.

The overall condition of the course was fair , the greens were in very poor condition , 5 hour round wasn't good .

this course is in terrible condition for the price. The greens were disgusting and the fairway and rough lean..dirt little grass.

Haven't played it in a few years-forgot how challenging! Pace of play was OK, considering the crowd , many of whom, I'm sure hadn't played there in a while, if ever!
Staff is outstanding ! Greens were pretty quick! Hope to play it again soon!

The course was in very good condition. It was an unseasonably cool day with a bit of wind which made the carries over the water trickier. The greens had some bare areas, but those were being patched well and didn't cause any issues nor slowed down the putts at all. Overall, I had a great time and met some wonderful men as playing partners.

I should have done more homework. The course was much shorter than I anticipated. Not really many places to hit your driver. Water everywhere. Overall an enjoyable afternoon round, but not real forgiving.

Must place your shots. Do not hit for distance, only.

staff less than friendly in golf shop, but people handling clubs seems disingenuous about their friendly approach, more about getting tips

Bring lots of balls if you are not a precision shot maker. Water on every hole, but very manageable.
Course in good condition and pace of play was slowed by some that wanted to take pictures of the many gators that line the shores of the water.

We love this course, reason layout is beautiful and but not easy. Lot of water! But the nature and all those beautiful birds and alligators. And one crocodile- so you have possibility to enjoy playing in " a bit exotic" course. Only problem was that first time fairways were not so confition than they have been.

The layout of the course is great despite a couple of short Par 3's. There is plenty of alligators to watch and the setup of the course asks for a tactical play. Always a great experience!
