Alligator on course Photo submitted by u000004256901 on 12/25/2012
Tight Challenge
Tight and narrow course with plenty of water and bunkers guarding the greens. Target golf required to achieve a good score. Plenty of challenge.
Amazing comeback fr hurricane
Been playing the dunes for about 15 years. I still can't believe the course was in such pristine shape after all the damage. The Dunes is a different sort of course but fun.
Great job
On golf now
Worth playing with the golf now discount. Would not play at the full rate. But worth a try..
Just like I remembered it.
Not a long course but a great challenge track. Was disappointed in range balls not included. $90 for 18 holes in July. That should at least include a few range balls.
The Course design is fantastic
Greens, Tees, Fairways in very good condition after recovering from hurricane Ian. Staff very friendly, clubhouse and bar/food services were also good.
One of the most fun folf courses you'll ever play!
Been playing here on vacation from Scotland for 30+ years. It's quite short by modern standards but a wonderful, challenging layout with lots of water in a simply beautiful setting. Challenging tee shots and small greens it's one of a kind. The staff are always superb and the clubhouse facilities match the course. Amazing recovery since it was hit by hurricane Ian. If you are in SW Florida simply don't miss it! We will be back.........
Bring extra balls!
Wonderful course, very different layout, staff was great!
Short Course, Great People
Couldn’t even tell the course suffered a hurricane, but the current drought is pushing on the back nine. When I say it’s pushing, there’s a few spots of burnt grass but nothing to fret from. It’s natural for any area with a drought. The front nine was in great condition. Course really forces you to hit straight and tests your chips with elevated greens. We had a ton of fun and pace of play this time of year is up to you. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the pro shop has everything you’d forget or need to replace.
Water galore
I didn’t see much water but on the other hand my balls sure did…
Dunes
They have done a remarkable job of getting this course back to almost as good as it was prior to the terrible hurricane,Ian. The front 9 are very good and the back 9 should be equally as good as the growing season continues. The staff in the clubhouse are very grateful for players coming to the course.
Worth the trip
Driving across the causeway to Sanibel Island is worth the trip. The course has been reconditioned and everything is plush. What a fun golf course back 9 gets a little harder, which is Fine with me
