Morning at the Lake
Had the second tee time of the day. Still was over four and half hours. Greens appears to have been just sanded. Some of the tee boxes had seen better days.
Challenging course and would play again but it’s hard to justify over $100 for slow play, poorly ranked bunkers, cones in the middle of fairways, and tee boxes there were the right handed dugout from little league.
Certainly has the bones to be great.
Like
We enjoy playing this challenging course. We paid a lot to play but the course conditions really didn’t deliver. It almost was municipal conditions. It didn’t prevent my son and I enjoying round and what it is all about.
The New Management Has Priced Themselves Out of Line
The new management that took over from Marriot has priced the greens fees into the stratosphere to the point I won't be playing here again any time soon. $119 for a weekend tee time for these courses? They're out of their minds.
Can’t beat it for the price
Week day round and it went great. Got paired with two gentleman and they were all good vibes. Starter gave great tips to start the round. Was blunt and honest on the pace of play. But we played 18 in 4 hours. Cart girl was out and serving. For the price I’ll be returning soon.
Not worth the money
I have played the Stonemont course several times in the past, i was very disappointed in the conditions of the course. The greens are in bad shape and not worth the $79 plus $20 to enter the park.
Amazing !!!
As always , perfect !!
Pace of play was pretty rough, but the course was in good shape. For the amount, they need to spread out the tee times. 6 hour round for a group of 3 who are decent players was tough. The course was filled, and no beverage person the entire time we played. Staff was very friendly.
Great course
Condition wasn’t perfect but thoroughly enjoyed our time, great views and a fun layout. Enjoyed the beautiful view at the restaurant after. Food was quite good too
Terribly Slow
I played behind a 5 ball and a 6 ball so was extremely slow. Not sure why the course allows groups of more than 4 to play together. After almost 3 hours for the nine holes, I decided end my round early.
Nice Walk By The Lake
I had an absolutely great time at Lakemont
- The Front Nine Is Always A Great Visit with Beautiful Scenery
*some of the greens had small weeds in them causing some missed puts 🤦🏾♂️ but overall the course was in great shape
Great value, good challenge, will play again
The conditions were fine considering the time of year and amount of rain and cold weather. Worth every penny of the GN pre-paid rate! Great pro shop beautiful surroundings. Greens were pretty slow but consistent. EVERYTHING BREAKS TOWARDS THE MOUNTIAN! They tell you that when you start and they are not kidding!
Lakemont
Tee boxes and greens are in shape of a $20 municipal course. Greens weed ridden and so many divots
Bad greens , slow play
The greens were terrible and it took five hours and 50 minutes to play 18 holes. Will not return
Avoid Stone Mountain
Find another course. Stone Mountain is in terrible conditions and they have raised prices. Can't use the range because the whole SCAD team is there at 11 on a Sunday. If you like waiting 10 minutes for every shot, this course might be for you. Greens are covered in fungus that has killed half of the greens. Bunkers are destroyed and clearly have not been maintained for some time. No water on the course and the beverage cart came by for the first time on the 18th hole after we said that we were dying at the turn. Group in front of us missed their tee time and the starter just put them in front of us instead of making them join their group on the 2nd tee.
Not worth the money
The course was in terrible shape and therefore it was cart path only. It’d be nice if that was advertised in some way. You’ll definitely get your steps in hiking up some of the hills at each hole. Also since it was cart path only, people were playing slower which management needs to consider and times need to be staggered better. Where is your Marshall moving people along? We only saw the beverage cart one time in four hours too. I would recommend you gold somewhere else!
Plus....20 bucks to enter the Park...just sad...and i'm 10 minutes away...
