Greens are awesome
The layout is fantastic,,great view from #11 tee,,,greens rolled awesome. The fairways appeared to be under construction in some places,,found out from staff that feral hogs had damaged them.,,,we just used the old two-club length rule and rolled on ,,overall great course .
Very nicely maintained for a state park course
Beautiful golf course. Great facilities and carts. Course is in great shape despite the drought. And Monica is wonderful! I will definitely be back.
great find
scenic vistas ,a nice mix of links and parkland. a challenge for all level of players .typical southern hospitality makes you want to come back.
Great Course
The course would have been perfect, except they sanded the greens and they were slow.
Great Course @ Great Price!
I have played at Meadow Links several times over the past 2-3 years and have found it in great condition, awesome staff and the best value for the quality of course within a 60m radius of my hometown. The course is challenging, especially if you don't keep it in the fairway. But, the fairway's have plently of challenges as well, like fairway bunkers that may/may not come into play off the tee. The course maintenance/quality is second to none and even found myself rolling in birdies on recently aerated/sanded greens. As far as the price, you CANNOT beat it. Booking through GolfNow, which is a little cheaper booking online than through the pro shop, is only $23/player on the weekends! Using GolfNow, I was able to get a "HotDeal" or 54% off on a Saturday morning for $12/player which is amazing being a 4 star course and a well kept secret in South Alabama and Lake Eufaula. Being a trail card holder at RTJ Highland Oaks, i play there quite often, and would put the course quality right up there with Highland Oaks, where I pay $47.50/round w/ a trail card membership. If you live in Alabama or west Georgia, you have to come experience this awesome, challenging, links style course.
The Best Course and Great Value
This is the best course in our area! The greens are superb and the views along the course are amazing. We have been playing this course for years and have never been dissatisfied.
Diamond in the middle of no where...
this was the first time I have played the Bagby course and it defiantly will not be my last. A true gem in the middle of no where. The course layout is great, you are rewarded for good shots and penalized for bad ones, as it should be. The Pro Shop employee "Bowe", greeted me with a warm welcome and provided some good info regarding the course. The fairways were awesome, you could literally walk the course bare foot. I really liked the bunker designs, the bunkers were walled which reminded me of courses in Europe. My only issue with the bunkers was the use of river sand, no real consistency. The greens were big and angulating, so depending where you were on the green could make for some real imaginative reads. Bottom line, it's an awesome course, and if you can play it go, you will not regret it.
Love this course.
Love the layout. This is the course that made me start playing smarter golf. Very few holes you can "go for it." I needed that discipline.
Need a Marshall
I love the layout of this course and it is always in decent shape but the one thing that frustrates me is the pace of play. This course is in dyer need of a Marshall to speed up the play. In our case this past weekend there was a group of elderly gentlemen in front of us who bogged down play and wouldn't let us through. We even rode up and tried talking to them. They were very rude and wouldn't agree to let us play through. They said they paid to play just like everyone else. It drove us insane. This course always has a bunch of elderly NORTHERN people that play it because it is right next to a campground, so keep that in mind if you play here.
NICE HIDDEN GEM
This course is really fun. Not busy during the week. The grass is always cut and well maintained. The greens will rival the higher priced courses in the area. Take the time and give it a try and you will keep coming back.
Day trip for guys
What a deal!!!! Great course we have played several times. Good condition, interesting hole, great price. It was HOT as expected in July.. Will play again soon.
Nice greens
Nice layout. Good greens. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good quality course at a fair price. Greens were very good. Had some mole cricket problems in the fairways but still they were nice.
Excellent Course/Rates are Great and Affordable
Course is in wonderful shape. I play twice a month there and never disappointed. Staff is Great and very Friendly. New Bunker sand and the Greens are in great Shape.
nice greens
Good lay out greens always in good shape I play it 2 times a year also its sister courses macrae and veterans
Perfect
Hidden Gem in serene setting with great greens. You won't be disappointed
Little gem
This course has a little of everything you want on a course.
GREAT SHAPE
THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE EXCEPT FO THE BUNKERS WHICH ARE FULL OF ROCKS. IF YOU HAVE A BUNKER SHOT YOU WILL HIT A ROCK WHICH IS UNFORTUNATE BECAUSE THE REST OF COURSE IS PERFECT.

10 men from our church played 2 days on a golf package, stayed in the group lodge. Good deal Course is a fun course, greens & tee boxes in good shape, no complaints. Fairways thin in some areas, not a big deal because it's not entire fairway. New sand in traps need to be sifted for rocks. Good package deal especially if you stay in group lodge. Buffet breakfast great. People you deal with are friendly & helpful. Not first time doing this, will go back. Never crowded
Rocks in the Bunker - watch out for the kids
4 3-somes of what appeared to be teenagers ruined the round by teeing off on the back nine around 3 pm...They need to learn etiquette and how to waive a single player through. Play ground to a halt - took 30 minutes on #10 after I made the turn in just under 2 hours. Walked off the course and explained the situation to the woman in the pro shop. She was nice, but I don't get a sense she has any flexibility around a situation they let occur. Comment to the course - don't let groups go off the back nine when there is virtually nobody on the course!!!
Also, rocks in the bunkers were huge - hit a sand shot and dinged up my wedge pretty good. Rocks were about half the size of the golf balls - I know that because several came out and landed on the green. New sand, but looks like they just went out and dug it up. Plus, it's heavy litter-box sand - like hitting out of wet cement.
I can see why the locals like it - it's cheap and pretty good, but greens were very slow and ground was hard. Had shots from the fairway where it felt like hitting off a parking lot - I typically take a good divot, had shots where my club literally bounced off the ground at impact and only took the grass lightly covering the red clay.
Don't think I will be back...
Very good
Very good links course. The course is maintain at all times.
