Great Georgia Course!
Some holes need a plan and then others are straightforward ... overall, fun place with a mixture of easy to tough holes ... wonderful staff!!!!!
What a gem
Excellent greens and manicured fairways. Sand traps with sand . Too bad it's not in Florida. Loved it.
Great greens
Greens were great for this early in the season. Fairways also were good for winter conditions. Looking forward to playing again when the grass is growing.
Pondtown
Really enjoyable.First time I have played here, but will not be the last!Staff was great and Courteous and made me feel as if they really appreciated my patronage.Fairways were a little rough due to our unusually harsh winter this year but the greens were great! I would really highly reccomend this coursr to anyone as a challenging as well as scenic course. Just Great!
Hidden Gem
Great course played many times and wish the state would run coral management off, they tend to price the course like south Florida, and the junior golfer rates used to be $5 walking until 18 yrs of age and now it is $14 plus. how do you get growth by that type of pricing structure.... The course is fun and the greens are perfect and true.
Long drive but worth it!
Decided to get a change of scenery and had a great deal on a tee time. This course was super nice and had a very friendly staff. It was not crowded at all. The course was moderately challenging due to the natural habitats of tall grass/rough and water on numerous holes. Would play here again when I have to time to drive 1 hr.
Excellent greens
Great course, hidden in southern Ga state park. Course is maintained very well but in need of sand in the bunkers. The staff is very friendly and the course isn't busy. I played 13 & 17 Sept at 8 a.m. in 3/31/2 hours. You must play here if you're in the area.
Surprisingly great for the location
This is one of the better-maintained courses I have played. It is surprising because it is a state course, and a little out of the way. It is a true links experience, with plenty of fairway bunkers. The greens are well protected, so don't think you will be running any shots up. They had 2 inches of rain last night, but the course drained well, except for the bunkers. The greens were some of the slowest I have ever played, which I am not used to. I left 5 strokes on the slow greens. However, they were very well-maintained. Everything was great, including the range. If this course was closer to home I would be a regular.
Excellent Course!
I drive an hour to play this course on a regular basis due to the excellent course conditions. The greens are super smooth and always in outstanding condition. Course is never very busy. Staff is excellent. Practice green, short game area and driving range are in great shape too. Take the time to go and play this course. Make a day of it and get two rounds in with ease. The par 5 18th is one of the best closing holes around!
Great course at a great price
This is my home course. It is always in very good shape. This spring has been cooler than usual, so the fairways are a bit hard, but they will be great in a few weeks...the greens are perfect. It is a very fun course, with several links-style holes, a couple of reachable par fives, and a few sharp dog legs. Overall, it's interesting, but not all that hard. They keep the course in great shape year-round, the driving range has good rates, they have an excellent putting and chipping practice area, and the course is never crowded in the afternoon. Fun, fun course, and through GolfNow, it is a great deal. Even at the course, riding for $25 is a pretty good bargain for this area, where there are very few good courses.
Great find of the beaten track
What a pleasant suprise to find this course. Although the grass was dormant, it was in good shape. The holes are well layed out and a few were challenging. I can see where the rough would be a hazard when grown in.
This is a very nice golf course and one of the better state park golf courses in Georgia.
I really enjoyed playing the Meadow Links golf course. My friends and I found the course to be in good condition in the winter with plenty of distance from the back tees, beautiful excellent greens, and nothing tricked up on any holes. I definitely recommend giving this course a try if you are in the area. It was a very good value booking through Golfnow.
True Links style course and is very challenging, especially when the wind is blowing......
Love this course even though it is a challenge. For the money you can't beat it though. It's just one of many State courses that are a bargain and I would recommend this course or any other State course to anyone.....
18 is the best closing hole! I have it tattooed on my shoulder in remembrance of my father who just loved this course! Love that hole!
