Not worth the money this time
I usually enjoy playing this course because it is challenging and usually in great condition. This time, however, the greens were in very poor condition. I would recommend checking the condition of the greens before you go.
It poured down so hard the greens were under water so I didn't get to play.
Maybe there fairway mower is broken the fairway grass was very high
Greens bounce and are dying off really needs help
The new house around the pump station was nice
A little confused?
Everything was great, but for some reason they sure watering the fairways at 12pm....

Layout is ok.
Courses needed to be watered.
Greens are very bumpy.
People were very nice and attentive.
Joy at Hard Labor
This course is nice and challenging but fair. The greens were not something that I believe I've ever played before and just about everyone would break at the cup and end up directly behind the cup. There was not too much trouble if you missed the fairway and ended up in the rough but if you missed the rough you can just about forget scoring. Pace of play was very good until the last couple of holes. The staff was okay at best and the amenities were about the same in the club house but i would say okay for a park.
Cared for course
Welcoming friendly staff, course is peaceful oasis wide tree lined fairways ,has a cared for feel.
Greens are ready but the tees & fairways are a little bare
My foursome stayed in one of the Park cottages for the weekend. Perfect stay & play. The course plays a lot longer than the card. Very few downhill approaches. When the pin is on the right side on the par 3 3rd, the hole is a dogleg, Big Tree on Right Side. The Par 5 15th is one tough hole. Please put the fairway bunker back on 15! The fairways, tees & rough haven't grown in just yet (this was their first week with Temps above 70). The driving range could us some updating, no target greens & the range balls are old & scuffed up. Get there early & take your time. Let the staff know where you are from. If you want to make friends with the onsite staff...don't drive under the trees & fill an extra divot in the fairway. They have plenty of sand jugs for your cart.
Shot making test
Course in good shape for early spring transition. Plenty of awakening Bermuda grass to get a decent lie in the fairway. Greens good except depressions until Bermuda growing season really kicks in and they become smoother. Definitely recommend.
Needs new staff in pro shop
The course is nice and I really enjoy playing out there. The only downside is the guy who works the counter. I hope that they find a decent replacement before he runs off all the customers and the state is forced to close the doors!
nice place in every way
I've played here 15-20 times and it's always a pleasurable experience. The greens were fast but consistently so and in good shape on all 18. There were no bare fairways or chewed up tee boxes.
Despite the recent rains, the course had drained well and there was no standing water anywhere.
I always love to take visitors here to enjoy the terrain, layout, and challenges.
Time well spent!
A hidden gem between Atlanta and Athens
I grew up playing this course. Its demanding off the tee. You can't really miss a fairway. If you do, you have a challenge to get to most of the greens. Overall, I like the course and would recommend it to any golfer.
No Value Today
I learned the hard way, $40 is not a value for this course in early Feb. The guy in the Pro Shop talks to you like you have never played golf before. Had to guys playing in front of me that were hunting balls and practicing putting on every hole. They are going to need to do more than upgrade the irrigation system.
Temporary conditions, February 2018
Be aware of temporary conditions.
Course is under construction to install new irrigation system. All holes are open but with some obstruction by work crews. Clubhouse is also under construction. The improvements will be very helpful when all is finished.
