Solid value
Great course for the money! Practice area/range is very good. New greens this year and they play very fast. Excellent scoring opportunities based on tee selection. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Hard greens
Course was in great shape, the greens are still very hard. It was a pleasant day and we played in under four hours with many groups in front of us.
Greens
Considering the miserable heat, the greens were top notch. Fairways soft, and tee boxes alive and green. Great time overall. Beautiful shape
Solid Round
Great staff and solid conditions given that there has been no rain in weeks. Many greens were so hard you couldn’t hold them. Front nine is more enjoyable than the back from a setup standpoint.
Pace of Play
The course was in good shape and the work on the new greens has paid off. The biggest turnoff is the pace of play. There was no marshall or ranger to move people along. We were supposed to tee off at 10:30 a.m., but we did not tee off until 10:45. It also was close to being a five-hour round. On one hole, the group in front of us was just talking back and forth to each other, with no one hitting their ball, which lasted about 5 minutes.
Terrible maintenance
The golf course is in terrible condition. Green were punched about 3 weeks ago. Not rolled, not cut. Fairways need to be cut. Teeboxes need to be cut. Cart paths need to be replaced and repaired. Driving range is completely in disarray. I wouldn’t play this course if it $30.
Play it if you haven’t played recently
Would rate a 4+. New greens are very good, rest of course good. Need rain or water on fairways. Overall conditions good as we’ve played @ TC@HLP. GPS on carts👍. Pace of play good, a really good day. Recommend & will go back. Purchased a golfnow time. Suggest a foursome rate.
Fun but challenging golf course
First time playing this fun but challenging golf course. Course was in good shape overall. Greens were a bit tricky and inconsistent. Some greens played very fast others not so. Course is full of hills and tricky undulations. Like that the golf carts have GPS to assist with the course layout and distances
Great hidden gem
I have heard about this course for years now but this is the first time playing it, but it won’t be the last. Lots of fun holes, lots of approaches to elevated greens, lots of scenic shots… watch out for snakes when you get off of the fairways. The staff was supper friendly and polite.
