Worth the drive
What a pleasant find this course was!
At first I was skeptical about the short yardage but it definitely played longer than the card.
There are lots of hills to negotiate. The par 5's were tight due to lack of land but overall the layout is solid. The conditions were good and the greens rolled nicely.
Forgotten Track
I played tis course a year ago, always wanted to go back found it challenging yet tamable, truly enjoyed the blind shots.
Slow day golf.
The pace of play was extremely slow. There were no marshalls. On many occasions there were 2-3 groups on the tee waiting. After 12 holes and 3 1/2 hours we gave up and quite.
What's the distance Kenneth.
Really liked the course. Thought the yardage markers were quite hard to find or non existent on a number of holes.
Fun Course, But Slow Pace of Play
CC is a fun, undulating (albeit short) course that will challenge golfers at most skill levels. However, we played on a Sunday and the pace play was painfully slow. Too many hackers hitting balls in very which direction and with lousy etiquette to boot. I'd go back, but only on a weekday.
Where to splurge
Very nice course with an interesting layout. Greens are exceptional, this is where city club really shines. The best feature is the practice facility. Two putting greens, chipping green, green side sand bunker with dedicated green, and fairway bunker all I addition to plenty of practice tees.
Only negative is the price. Most people are looking for deals and this facility could fill more tee times and generate more revenue if they'd just lower the price to $25 and $35.
Very fun course
This course is a very fun course to play, because of all the elevation changes and dog legs. It will make you use every club in your bag.
Not Played in Years
The course was in good shape. The pace of play was very good. We had not played in a while and we took 4 and a half hours to play but never felt pressure from anyone behind us. We were keeping up with the group in front but we never had to wait on them either. It was a good day of golf. The food at the turn is good but expensive. $7 for a frozen hamburger patty is too much. I will be going back this weekend to play again though.
Great course, awesome greens
Played early in the morning and pace of play was excellent. Greens rolled true and fairways were in good shape.
Good simple course
Pretty much what I expected.Conditions were good.Course is a bit of a shooting gallery.Way too short to take your score seriously though.
Slow
Great course, took forever.. Slow rate of play on the back 9, and range balls were scattered all over the first fairway a true safety hazard.. Otherwise good experience, would absolutely play again.
Great new greens
We teed off early in the morning had a great round was very enjoyable highly recommend this course to you.
best shape ever
The course is in the greatest shape I have ever seen it.
Excellent Condition
The course is in the best condition that I've ever seen it - fairways and greens. Enjoyed the round and plan to be back next week.
EXCELLENT COURSE FOR THE AVERAGE PLAYER
Played with my son who is just learning to play. It was a great experience for him to learn how to hit from different lies and putt on really good greens. I will definitely play the course again.
play now! never better.
The fairways were impeccable. Greens were good. Play it now!
Love course, Hate parking, cart paths, staff attitude, course upkeep
The course layout is a GEM, the staff's; maintenance, upkeep, and attitude is sub-par and very typical of a "Muni" operation. So sad, for such a great asset! Parking layout is disjointed, particularly for Disabled.
Nice Course
I really enjoyed this course and it's in good shape compared to many around the area. Their credit card machine was broken so I had to pay cash. The lady at the desk seemed put out when she had to make change. Didn't feel very welcome. Other than that, a fun experience.
Great bang for buck
Excellent course for the value and conditions plus scenery. Highly recommend.
1st time at City Club
The course overall was in great shape. Played late in the day so the greens were a tad long and slow but rolled true. The course is short but with enough challenges to make it an enjoyable round. Rarely pulled the driver from the bag and on most second shots it was a short iron (9 or less) into the greens. For the price it was well worth every penny. I would play there again and would recommend it to my weekend warrior friends. If you are looking for real challenging course this would not be the place to play. If you are looking for an enjoyable round of golf with opportunities to score head out to City Club of Marietta and have a blast!!!
