City Club Marietta

I wrote a review on Google as well but here it goes.

Pros: Beautiful course, especially after all the improvements they've made fixing the par 5s .

Cons: Pace of play is becoming a joke. They have it listed when you're behind but it means nothing when there is no marshal to enforce it. I've played rounds where there are 5 man groups taking multiple shots instead of playing best ball. I've seen kids pretending it's a driving range. Both situations cause the 2 or 3 groups behind them to get stacked on every hole before and after the turn.

PLEASE ENFORCE THE PACE OF PLAY

YOU GUYS HAVE SPENT SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY MAKING IT "ALMOST PERFECT". Now you just need to enforce the expectations and courtesy of this sport.

If not for the turtle-like pace of play, it would have been a great time. The two groups in front of us were extremely slow and we did not see a course marshall at all during our round. On some holes we had to wait at least 15 minutes on the tee box before we could hit. Course is in great shape, greens were running fast but true, and the weather was perfect, so all the makings for an exceptional time if not for the incessant waiting!

9am tee time and took just over 5 and 1/2 hours to play 18. It is a waste of a good course due to pace of play always being so bad.

First impressions count. First course in a while where attendants sit and watch you unload cart. Weird.

Fantastic condition and great course for the money. The only negative is how short it is with a few quirky holes and a lot of blind tee shots.

Course conditions and greens make up for it.

I’ve been playing Marietta City Club for the past 20 years, and yesterday’s round was the best yet. The greens were rolling pure and the fairways were in perfect condition.

Great course! Pace was a bit rushed. Freshly cut areas with tons of hay needed to be cleared

Played here for the first time. Course was in great shape. A few tee boxes were very difficult to get a tee in, mainly 6, but otherwise no issues with the course. Friendly staff. There was a group 2 or 3 in front of us that were a little slow and caused a slight backup at times, but otherwise our foursome didn’t wait around much. Will definitely be back

Love playing Marietta. The course is picturesque and lots of fun. At this point the greens are mostly healed from punching and still need a little more time to be 100% but they roll pretty good. Everything else is in great shape.

Staff is very attentive and only wish we could have seen a cart person earlier as it was HOT out there early.

Great course for good value. Mid week feels wide open because it’s so large
