Got rain out
Was having a great time but a rain storm come in and didn't get to finish.
Worth every penny
First time playing the course but will be back. Course maintenance is top notch, staff very friendly and helpful.
Great State Park in Ga
Love the coarse
Best Ranger and Office personal we have met in a long time
Thank you all for a great round
Good condition
In the past the staff were very difficult to deal with. From the desk clerk to the marshalls. For this reason, I had been playing other courses. With this visit, the staff had an attitude change for the good which would make me want to come back on a regular basis again.
Greens are in great shape
You have got to love the course when the greens are sweet.
The staff was friendly as always.
The Super has about half the bunkers cleaned up.
The fairways are in good shape.
A hidden jem.
Always a great experience playing golf at The Lakes.
Worth finding.
Wonderful course in the middle of nowhere. Great staff. Course was in good shape. Greens rolled true. Will play again on my next time through.
Wonderful
If you are anywhere near Waycross this is a must to go to. You would never expect such an amazing course to be in the state park. I’d rank it up there wilh any top notch course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in impeccable condition. From the time you step out of your truck you’ll want to never leave.
fun course
fun course to play good value/wish it was closer to home
Great course
Went a week after Irma. Course dry and in good shape, green rolled well. Pace of play was a little slower than I like, but I was out there to enjoy myself
Lakes coursr
GolfNow had an excellent rate for this course. Course is in great shape. Pace of play is really good.
Excellent round
Got to the clubhouse and was in line with like 3 other groups about to play; we didn't see them all day. It was great, greens were very good rolling, slow, but steady. There was one patchy spot in all 18. The fairways didn't roll, but were in excellent shape. This is a very well rounded course; some holes are pretty challenging and others very forgiving. The back nine grill staff was very nice and the hot dogs were just what we needed for lunch. It was a very nice day and well worth the money.
Perfect greens, lush fairway & thick ruff!!!
I got to slip out this morning to play 27...only got to play the front 9... Work called.
Loved the conditions I found.
The greens are rolling smooth.
The tee boxes were trimmed nicely.
The fairways were lush.
Thank God the rough was only 2 - 3" deep...that grass is thick.
Looking forward to next weekend to try to get in 18 + holes.
Proud to wear my Lakes at Laura Walker hat.
Hot day at a good course
Played here for the 1st time. Very impressed with the state runned course. Worth the trip from Jacksonville. Excellent condition. Bunkers need work, but then don't hit into them
Will be back again soon
A course with whispering pines and beautiful lakes
I have played the course several times over the past few years and it has always been in good condition. This time was the best. The greens were perfect and fairways ,the best they have ever been. I look forward to the next time I am able to go back.
