Why do I have to print?
No other course has made me print out my reservation before, but this guy went on and on about how I might not be able to play next time if I don't print out my reservation for them. I traveled an hour and a half to come to this course and you're gonna tell me I can't play because I didn't know to print out a reservation? Poor customer service. Course is always in good shape, but I'll think twice before making the trip down again.
Great greens
Overall awesome course to play. Pace of play was slow due to the amount of people playing but great course.
Best course in middle ga
This course is very challenging especially the front nine. Greens are some of the best far and wide around these parts. Do yourself a favor and play this gem. Big greens and challenge starts when you hit them. They roll true but if you struggle with getting the speed then it's going to eat your lunch. The back nine is my personal fave and very reminiscent of East Lake in looks in my opinion. I have found you rarely if ever have to bump it up in the fairway. Fairways are perfect as well. Five stars is my rating for this one:)
Awesome
This is one of my favorite courses to play. The greens and fairways were perfect. We played on Sunday and Monday and pretty much had the course to our selfs, which is always nice. Booked tee times with GolfNow.com and got a great deal.
Great day for golf
Coursewas in good shape. Play was slow because of numbers of players
Great value!
Eight of us went to this state operated golf course, and all of us came away extremely pleased. We will definitely go again, and may even stay overnight, using the lodge facility located there.
Well maintained.
Fairways are in excellent condition and the greens are even better. Would expect to pay a lot more to play a course of this caliber. Expect to see a lot of Deer and other wildlife on this course as it has a lot of wooded areas with beautiful live oaks with Spanish moss, large Georgia pines, and many other types of trees and plants. It only takes a few holes of play for one to realize that the people who maintain this golf course take pride in what they do.
Super Condition
This was my second time playing this course in a year and I must say It is in super condition! The fairways are the best I have on all year in the state of Georgia and the greens rivals Southern Hills in Hawkinsville, Georgia. The staff were very pleasant, I will say that the lack of staff working on a Saturday was very noticeable, i.e. (had to wait for carts, club house closed temporary because worker was needed at the lodge and I could not buy any refreshments at the turn). Other than that, it was a great day!
Very playable course
We got a good deal at Golf Now. Greens have been renewed and the overall course was well manicured. I had not played here in a few years but was happy with improvements. Will definitely be back.
Perfect shape
Beautiful course, beautiful shape. There were a good many blackflies. I just played through and swallowed a few.
Great Course But Dealt With Twosomes All Day
I have been playing this course since I was 16 yrs old. It is once again in good condition with smooth greens and plush fairway's. But since the state let it go, the importance of pace of play and how they run things has gone downhill. Weekends are now an endless stream of twosomes who rush to play through a foursome. We as a foursome play an avg round in 3 1/2 hrs to 4 depending on course pace of play but we let one twosome thru on 3 and when we reached 13 they were holding up play. They used to not let twosomes or singles on course until after 1pm or they would pair you up. Now it's almost impossible to enjoy a steady round without having to worry about someone running up your butt wanting to play thru and then having to wait on them as they move slow.
A beautiful layout in great condition!
I've played this course many times, and it's so nice to see it in such great condition. This course is not real long, but it requires well placed shots to be able to score well. The greens, since last year's replacement, are in terrific shape and holding up well. Overall, just a pleasure to play here!
Excellent Layout
I found the course in very good condition, but wished that there was a way to be forewarned that the greens had been re3cently aerated. This affected all puts and made the total experience less than perfect.
The greens were in great condition.
I loved playing here and will be back very soon. The greens were in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly!
Thought we were on Augusta greens. Beautiful.
Beautiful course. On course staff were as nice as can be. The only drawback is that the old man working in the pro shop was very...VERY rude. Appears to hate life....? And this course is so perfect that I think I'd work there for free lol. Matter of fact I couldn't find even one weed growing in the fairways, ball rolled so true on the greens and a beautiful facility. We just cringed every time we walked in the pro shop...it or his personality is that bad.
Great course with exception of staff member
Gentleman in the pro shop was rude and does not need to be in a position of helping the public. I paid through golf now and was accused of being a thief for using this service.
Friday with Friends
This course design is very good. Tough front nine with more opportunities on the back nine. I enjoyed the course and will return. I recommend this course.
Loved the course
Little bit of a drive but well worth it... spectacular course, interested to see how it looks in the summer
Go and try out the new Greens
The greens are excellent...golf course is in excellent shape. Had a great time, can't wait to go back.
Great out of the way course
What a pleasant suprise! Nice layout, length on front, plenty of trees, good conditioning and decent pro shop.
