GREAT FAIRWAYS
BEAUTIFUL SPANISH MOSS ALONG MOST FAIRWAYS ON FRONT NINE, ROLLING FAIRWAYS ON BACK NINE. NICE PUTTING GREENS THRU-OUT. WILL BE BACK AGAIN.
Little Gem
Fair and pleasing layout. No goofy holes. Wide and forgiving. Well maintained by friendly staff. Most greens are large, not a lot of sand. Back 9 is the original 9. A few of the greens were a little thin or damaged, but that really didn't effect puts. It was still winter. This place should look and play fabulously by April. Myself and friends have played this course, off and on, for over 20 years and have never been disappointed.
Nice course but confused on amenities...
So they have signs everywhere that says you cannot bring your own cooler. However, the sandwich shop was closed and they were out of beer. Look I understand controlling your cost but no food and no beer seems unreasonable and a loss to the bottom line. The credit card machine needs three tries to make purchase. The guy checking you in seems to not have it together. He forgot my token for driving range. He didn't quite introduce me even though I told him this was my first time. Couldn't find the bathroom had to go in the woods. Seems like a nightmare but really the course is challenging and awesome. I will only be back if I get the golf now price of $17 with cart. I will bring my own cooler since the tee time is 10:20am and usually play during lunchtime. A sandwich and a beer would be good to have around noon.
Nice course, but.......
Really enjoyed the course; however, pace of play was so ridiculously slow it ruined the round. I was playing in a threesome and we were behind a group of six and they were behind a group of seven! Course was completely backed up by the time we finished. Perhaps a marshall could help with situations like that.
Great course, great conditions, great value, rude staff
Course was in Great condition and the course was worth the value. Pace of play was extremely fast and the course was a little on the long side if anything. The staff was not very friendly at all. Especially the staff working on the course. They were working with blowers all around us while we were trying to tee off and putt.
Great winter golf
Course in good condition even with all the rain. 4some had great day of golf.
Fun Course and great value
We had a men's retreat at Little Ocmulgee park and golf was part of the deal. This course is great for the good golfer and fun for the beginner as well. Nice layout and allows you to use all the clubs in your bag. We will definitly be coming back again.
Harry, was having a bad day (The proshop supervisior) He obvisiouly is not a fan of Golf Now. :-( However the rest of the staff was excellent.!
wow
If there were a rating above excellent I'd give it in most categories! This course's condition is better than a lot of course charging 2or3 times the greens fee.
Would highly recommend playing there.
It dont get better than this...
Love everything about this place! Rooms are nice, lodge is great, food is yummy ang golf course is spectacular!
I love friendly folks and the sweet lady at the golf course named Marsha was the best!
Will return here many more times!

Group of 8 men on overnight golf outing. Course in good shape, fun course to play. Stayed in lodge & had a good breakfast in the morning that was included in our package deal. Not first time doing this, always a good experience. Pace of play good. 27 holes in less than 6 hours. Recommend & will go back. Do suggest that yardage on card & tee markers match
Excellent condition
Played the course for the first time yesterday. It was in mint condition. I love the layout...fair, challenging, and scenic. This course tops many of the country clubs I've played in Florida. I will definitely be back for an extended stay.
Great course!
I am an 18 handicap and absolutely loved this course. We played it 4 straight days and we enjoyed the challenges and beauty of this course. Long hitters can cut corners and get home with short irons. The overall seevice is ok, but it is a state park and I am sure the budget doesn't allow for high ends service and attention but that is ok, we came for the golf.
Balls M I A
Buddy and I had a great time out ended up playing best ball since we both were donating balls to the woods. Lol
Look forward to the next round.
Bring your short game
Very tight, well groomed, lots of fun. Greens roll slow 8 but very true. Ill be back.

Great time on a good course.
Wow!
This was my first time playing here in several years. I've never seen the course in better shape. I'm not a member of any course so I play all over the place at many different courses. I've not played a better maintained course in YEARS. And that includes high dollar courses on Hilton Head Island. Meticulously manicured fairways and greens, great rough. No such thing as a bad lie. You can't ask for more. And all for less than $25!. WOW!!!
Great Shape!
The course was in great shape! Totally worth the hour and half drive.
Great course - stormy clean up
Have played here many times. The course is alway in great shape. A recent summer storm had left debris but the staff was working on clean up. My only complaint was that the staff would pull over and allow players to play through but would keep equipment (blowers and mowers) running or idling at full power. It was a bit distracting to attempt to play a shot when it sounded like an airplane was preparing for take off. This is one of the first golf courses I played when first beginning golf and remains one of my all time favorites.
Good conditions but slow greens
Most other reviewers really enjoy this course, and I have to agree with them. It's definitely a hidden gem, not too tough, but enough challenge to keep you interested. When I played here last year, the course was in fantastic shape. This year, not as good but still okay. The driving range was unmowed and beat up, and the fairways were spotting in some areas. The grass on the greens is very healthy and plush, but only Stimpmetered at a 6 (I carry one in my bag). Last year they were a 9, so for some reason they slowed they way down, to the point that putting was very frustrating. Still, a worthwhile course to visit...note to greens staff: Mow the greens, fairways, and driving range!
