Grass can grab ya!
3rd or 4th time playing here while on vacation, and it seems to continue improving. Plenty of variation in length on tees to provide challenge for different handicaps. Most of the trouble is visible though the tufts and clumps of sea grass devour more golf balls than you might think. :)
Moderate challenge.
Course was wet due to heavy rains 5 holes were cart path only. Nice course. Friendly people. Bunkers were in bad shape.
Much Improved!
played this track 6 years ago and the difference in the overall maintenance of the course is much better. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens all in nice shape. Had a hard time reading the Bermuda greens, but that has always been a problem!
Played as a single, starter took care of me, was able to play in 3 hrs.
Would highly recommend .
Sea Palms
Greens were in excellent shape. No marshal so slow groups kept pace of play slow.
My Fsvitite Course
I received the best deal. It consisted of 28 holes on a beautiful afternoon with my own pace and all for $19. The course was in outstanding shape and is my favorite course on the Island. The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. I could not have asked for s better experience.
Steve Smith
Nothing special but good course
They had just sanded the greens so it did not play true. Was disappointed that no one told us this. Overall fun course though.
Amazing Course
This is one of the best courses I have ever played and I have played a lot. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The bunkers were very well kept. The staff was very helpful. When your ball sets up in the fairway like its on a tee you know your going to have a memorable round. Exactly everything I had hoped it would be for the money. I have paid more and received less. I encourage everyone to play this course if your ever in this area. 5 stars all the way.
little more work would come back more often!!
Played from the blue Tee's and was happy on layout of couse not a long course from these Tee's might I say, but the boxes could use some sprucing up. Rough was a little thick if not in the fairway. Didn't have to be far out of the fairway not to see your ball(lol). Still a good course to enjoy!!
Course has great features
Course was in great shape and fast pace of play that day. Can't wait to play it again!
Sea Palms Golf Course
Course was in great shape. The greens could not have been any better! I would recommend this course to others visiting St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Dayou at Sea Palms
Course was a great value. Course in great condition. Fairways and greens in great condition. Good pace of play. Staff very nice. Helpful. No cart person which was a disappointment. Did not use club house so could not say. Felt like a first class operation.
Sea Palms, ST Simmons Island
you will like this course it's will challenge you but very fair. Great shape greens great, sand traps not so much
Sea Palms Resort
This course was okay. The greens ran pretty good.
The layout itself was somewhat boring. There was water on almost every hole, but it wasn't really in play.
It was mostly tee to green play. For the price it was good, but if you don't get a deal with golf now, I would not pay to play.
Staff was very friendly and attentive.
A Unique Golfing Experience
I've played on courses that wind through established neighborhoods before, but never one that was as old as this. And that's a POSITIVE thing. The cart paths through the neighborhood were like secret passageways among the trees and yards. Beautiful residences lined each side and each hole was like playing in a park. Hope I can visit Georgia and play there again!
Great day at sea palms
Course in great shape and new clubhouse is excellent
47 years between teeing it up at Sea Palms
They are upgrading the entire club house facility, should be complete by mid April. Restoring it to it's exquisite original quality , and probably even nicer. The 27 holes are a great testament to golf as it should be. Play the tee's that suit your game and you will have a VERY enjoyable experience.
Sea Palms
Some construction going on, on property. Course is in very good shape. We were the first group off, so pace of play was excellent. Restaurant after the round was excellent. Very relaxing. Many changes are happening on the property. Pro shop is temporarily in the restaurant, while they remodel. All in all the experience was very enjoyable, though the course a little to long for me at this point.
Poor signage and GPS doesn't work
There is no course layout on the score card or at the tee boxes so you have no idea of the layout of each hole. Each person in our foursome had a different model of GPS device and none of them worked correctly on this course. Something must be wrong with the way they did the initial survey of the course.
Fair test of golf
Good value for the money due to Hot Deal on Golfnow.com. First tee time of the day so pace of play was excellent. Greens rolled true.
Decent golf course
Decent course for the money paid on Golftown. Regular price somewhat expensive compared to other courses in the area. Fairways not over seeded, greens were in excellent shape. New homes being build are very close to the course.
