Greens hard as a rock
Poor design. Most of the greens have a bunker right front. With the hardness of the greens it is about impossible to hold the greens as every shot is into a green that runs away from you.
Great Golf on a great course
I have wanted to play Osprey Cove for several years and this was my first chance to do so. My regular foursome met together to play and we had a wonderful time. The course was challenging but not punishingly so. Even though I played worse than usual, I enjoyed the round thoroughly knowing that any trouble I got into was my own fault. My group enjoyed the design of the course immensely. The views across the marsh on 8, 9, and 18 are fantastic and the course seems set amid the natural beauty without diminishing it. Pace of play was smooth and the staff was friendly. The only down side of the day was that the greens were very firm and approach shots tended to skip off of them, but the staff warned us about this before our round. I would expect the greens to soften back up in the Spring. I would recommend Osprey Cove highly to anyone in the area.
Great course
Great course at GolfNow price. Greens are very firm from replacement earlier this year but roll well.
Great Deal
Greens were in fantastic shape. Hard and Fast. Tee boxes were a little furry, but a great deal
GREAT COURSE
FUN COURSE TO PLAY/ SOME GREAT HOLES/IN GREAT SHAPE
This is an all around solid course
Course was n good condition w enough variety to keep it interesting. 2 of us played 18 right at 3 hours. Played through 1 other 2some.
Great little Georgia Peach of a Course!
Great course, the Staff was very friendly and remembered our group from last year. which goes a long ways in my book.
Very good plays green is little small but fair way wider very good lay out
Some improvements, other things not as good.
We hadn't played the course in a year and a half. Greens had all been replaced and while very hard (only 3 months old) they were in great shape and rolled true. The bunkers were not in the best shape, wet and hard. The course signage was poor and the golf shop staff was very uninformative, glad we had been there before and knew our way around. No cart staff, no starter and driving range was very beat up.
Always amazing
If you are near it’s a must. You won’t be disappointed. From the moment you pull into the gate you will always have a wonderful day. If you miss this great course you’ll be sorry. Slammer and squire has nothing on osprey cove. The new greens, the amazing people the great times. All you have to do is go to believe
Nice course
New greens putting well but hard and fast. Difficult to stop iron shots on greens but should soften in time. Everything else in great shape. Enjoyed the round.
So worth it!!!
Booked even knowing they had renovated their greens and had temporary greens on all 18 holes. Club pro called me Sunday am to make sure I knew this information. That alone says how professional the club is. One of my favorite golf courses I have played on the Georgia coast.
Georgia Gem
I always love playing this golf course because of the layout and practice facilities and just the feel of peace and tranquility out there on the course without the hussle and bussle of sounds in the suburbs. Osprey is one of my favorite courses and I highly recommend this course to anyone. We played 18 holes in 3 hours and 15 minutes. Some areas of the fairways were a little dry due to lack of rain but the greens rolled true and were nice.
Nice course needs some TLC
This is a beautiful area, full of colorful wildlife and gorgeous plantings. Unfortunately, no one has bothered to take care of this course, which is very rough around the edges. The greens in particular had bumps and holes created by neglect. Putting is an adventure, and not a very entertaining one. There was much ground under repair. To be fair the pro shop guy said they will soon be ripping up the greens on some holes and replacing them. Off-course, the restaurant-bar only accepts credit cards, and on the day we went, the credit machine wasn't working very well. Again, some things that need to be addressed. That said, this course has potential to be a really nice spot, but someone's going to have to do some upgrading.
Osprey Cove
OC is a nice course, but the layout is uninspiring. None of the holes is particularly memorable though several border the marshes. I played just after it was aerated and during a drought so conditions were not the best, especially the greens. Nevertheless, it is fun to play and the staff was very, very helpful.
Great day
Love the course. Nice flow, last hole had a nice large crossing.
Osprey Cove is Lovely!
Excellent practice facilities and course condition. This is a great place.
Very Good Neighborhood Course
We enjoyed this course and would have liked it better if there were some outline of the holes. We were unaware of some of the blind hazards, since it was our first time. But we would play it again and found it a good value by booking through a golf site. Fairways and greens are in pretty good shape considering the early part of the season when we played.
