Love this course!
Being a not-so-long hitter, I especially like the gold tee option. Have played both gold and white and love the setup from both. Greens were in awesome shape. Great getting first tee time of the day and playing a quick 18. Highly recommend this course!
Georgia Gem
Soft even fairways, spongy consistent greens, beautiful vistas, and a combination of challenging and easy holes. I will definitely be back!
Great value for the money
Place is maintained very well, Nice, new, clean carts with USB ports
The course is great
We had a great time and the course is in great shape, the greens are in great shape and consistent, the carts are new!
What A Gem
Tee boxes, fairways and greens in excellent condition. They widened most of the fairways which increased the pace of play and kept us amateurs out of the woods. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Carts and on course restrooms very clean. Great place to play at a very reasonable rate.
Best Condition in Years
I’ve played this course many times over the past 4 years. I played here this afternoon and I must say, It’s in the best shape that I’ve ever seen. 95% of the tee boxes were level, the fairways have grown in & were cut to perfection, the greens look like lush green carpet and rolled smooth and true. However, the greens are a bit slower than I like. Hopefully greens will be cut shorter in the coming weeks to increase the speed. The clubhouse attendant was super friendly. The carts have been replaced & now have USB charges which is great for using a distance app. Since I played on Thursday afternoon (when most people are working), the pace of play was as fast or slow as I choose to go. If you’ve never played here, I urge you to give it a try. But, bring your A game because the elevation changes will definitely test your club selection skills. I’m looking forward to another round here soon.
Great course!!!
Love this tract. Challenging course for sure. Friendly staff. Fairways, greens, tee boxes all in excellent shape. You’ll need your a/b game to put up a good score on this one.
Worth the drive (45 min from Clemson). Glad we played it and we’ll be back. GolfNow is an incredible deal on this course and helped us find out about this place. Don’t let the prices fool you if they’re low. It’s not a junk course! This is a great one.
Great course!
Very well maintained. Challenging. Well worth the drive.
love everything
Great people in pro shop, conditions were great, fairways coming good and greens rolled great. Love all Georgia State Park courses.Very tuff par fives, first couple of holes fool you and then number three shows how tuff lay out can be. Play about once a month and always pleased, great value on golfnow.
Another Great Day
Always a pleasure playing this course; and the challenge to conquer some of the more difficult holes rated 1-4. If you Par or Birdie these holes your having a good day. A great course for anyone wanting a challenge; and the conditions are excellent.
Always a gem in North Georgia
Have been playing this course since the late 1990's; and always find it to be a challenge that you want to come back for more. There are a few holes which will always challenge you to make the perfect swing; which is why we all play the game. There are a few holes which challenge you to make PAR; and that is why we always return to meet that challenge. I am senior golfer who qualifies for senior discounts; but I still play the Blue Tees. This course has those holes where you relish the challenge. The greens are in the best condition that I have seen in many years. Bring your A game; but bring your patience. Lets see if you are up to the challenge. A great course.
Tough
If you like a challenging course this one’s for you. Lots of hills and valleys with big greens that have reverse breaks.
Highland walk
Course is very hilly with very few flat lies we played the day after it rained and it was cart path only which made it hard to take the right club to your next shot usually had to take 3-4 clubs
Mountain Gem
We have been playing this course off and on for over 20 plus years. The course is always a challenge; and with age the second shots seem to be a little longer. The day we played was cart path only, because of the all heavy rain we have had this winter. Even with these conditions the course drains fairly well, because it is mountainous. Recommend this course to anyone seeking some beautiful scenery, wildlife and challenging shot making.
Thank you for playing Highland Walk. We appreciate your review and recommendation and hope to see you back soon. We are in the process of widening and reshaping the fairways, so hopefully some of those second shots will become a little shorter next time.
