Gotta Love It
The staff does a great job keeping the course in excellent condition. I've played here dozens of times and never had a bad experience. Along with Arrowhead Pointe and Hard Labor, Highland Walk gives us three quality state park courses in the area.
I really want to like the course
Overall I had a good time. We finally got by the group holding us up at the turn and were having an enjoyable round. Then out of the blue as we were finishing up on the green so guy drives past us ran to the next tee box and started hitting multiple tee shots. This went on for the remaining holes. This guy hitting balls until he hit one he liked. With the price I of the round . The carts cutting off in the middle of the fairway demanding we stay out of the woods and having to reverse 70-80 yards off a fairway. And the guy just jumping us with no marshal insight, is why I can’t really like the course as much as I could have. And trust me I really wanted to lay into the guy that jumped us but it’s not worth it, with my temper.
Best greens
Literally, the only gripe that I could have about this course was that there is leaves on the greens, not that there were any other issues with the greens. So that's that.
Great course but took entirely too long to play due to slow groups.
Course has been taken over by certain people that plays entirely too slow and will not let anyone play through. Normally can play a round around 3 to 31/2 hrs. Today it took 41/2 hours. Frustrated is an understatement.
Fun Round!
Great course value. Be warned: very hilly. It exhausted my playing partner (82) in moderate heat.
Highland Walk
The greens had been areated and were a bit rough. This is always a fun and challenging course.

Great course and in excellent shape Bill does a great job
Great value
The course challenges you after the first 2 holes. Staff is always friendly. The greens were recently punched and still enjoyed it! We have very good state park courses.
Good track for the money
My wife and I played eighteen holes. Fairways and greens in very good shape. Some long holes with lots of elevation changes. Needs to have womens tees more clearly marked on some holes. Would definitely go back.
Aerated Greens
Only reason I didn't rate this course five stars was due to the relatively recent bumpy aerated greens and some of the sand traps were light on sand and more like hard pan. The fairways, rough and tee boxes were in very nice condition.
Very nice Round
Just a great morning of golf. The elevation changes make this course fun and challenging. Some of the fairways slope more than expected so shot placement is key.
Rainy day
We stopped on 15 because of lightning
It was damp and some just wet but it was all good. The course is in great condition with true greens. Carts have GPS. e had a great time playing!
Overall good
Very good course for the money. I will definitely be back. Just a few things though. The golf cart cubby holes where you keep things does not have a ledge so when you step on the gas things tend to slide out. Also whoever mows the fairways needs to adjust the decks because they scalped them bad. And who thought it would be a good idea to have a dogleg left hole that measures 561 yards from the SENIOR tees.
