About Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort, part of the Marriott Bonvoy brand of hotels, is a golf resort located on Hutchinson Island in the Savannah River on the Georgia-South Carolina border. There is a marina that allows boaters to stop off at the resort for dinner or golf. The resort is home to the 18-hole Club at Savannah Harbor, which features a championship course designed by Bob Cupp and a golf academy. The hotel has 390 guest rooms, plus extensive meeting space, multiple dining concepts and an outdoor pool. Guests can take complimentary water taxis across the river into historic Savannah, Georgia's oldest city.Facts

Nice course spotty greens
Fairways in nice condition. Greens are in bad shape. A lot are partially dead. Some have dirt many are spotty bumpy and irregular. I would be quite upset if I paid the full price they ask the greens currently are worse than some muni’s. They roll ok but are so irregular they ball does not stay on line and does not roll true.
Nice layout and facility. I understand they are working to correct the issue.

Wonderful course....some alligator fun. Pretty wide open but some challenging green approached and pin placements, Unlike some courses in the area at least you can stop the ball on the green,

Terrible
Shockingly bad course, especially for the price. However, I have played courses for $30 that were in far better shape than this. The greens were in such bad shape they were unplayable!

Good course
The day we played the wind was blowing 25-30 mph most of the day. Course was in pretty good shape for April, but the greens were a little rough,. They were perfect in the fall a couple years ago so I think it was just the time of the year. Fun challenging course that I would recommend to others!

Fun course in Savannah
Great links type layout, amenities very good, course overall in good shape. Greens bumpy due to slow Bermuda growth after cold & wet winter.

bad greens
The course was great except for the greens. Not sure what was wrong with them but they were something I would expect on a $30 muni not a$100+ resort course. Only play if good greens are not important to you.

Poor greens!
I read the other reviews about the greens, but figured I would give it a try. I should have listened, the greens were in bad shape and I would have been ok paying $40 not $139.00. We will not be coming back.

Dead greens no food
Greens were just beat up. No grass. Bumping all over the place. Not a $200 course.
Then kitchen is closed at 3. Tough for a get away day.

Horrible greens with a large price tag
These greens are worse than putting out in a cow pasture! How this place gets away with charging what they do is unacceptable. Everything else about the course conditions is okay at best for the price you pay. Would highly recommend going to play over in Hilton head somewhere, rather than wasting your money out there unless you can get a deal for $40 or less.

Not what I expected
I have wanted to play this course for a while, always heard good things. I got a deal for $77 and thought it might be worth it considering some tee times were $205. I was sadly mistaken. The layout is fine some really nice holes. I was paired with 3 others and all of them were great to play with. All the staff were very pleasant. Golfnow did not send reservation over so they tried to charge me again. Beverage cart came around often, I had a rider with me and we bought a 6 pack of beer for $40, a little excessive. For the course, I would be highly disappointed if I paid full price here. The greens were the absolute worst. My local muni has better greens. It is really unbelievable the shape this is in. Drive another 30 miles to Hilton Head and play. This course needs some attention. For the fees charged here it should be in much better condition. I would avoid playing here.

Great Layout, but...
I have played the course before and and love it, but...., They seem to be Having some trouble with the greens at the moment so the high price tag questionable. However if will be back, I will just check on course conditions before I go.
