Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa

Forecast was for rain.. but we had only this day available, so we decided to play, no matter what. The sun was out, the sky was blue with a few puffy white clouds. Ended up a gorgeous day in the mid 70's. So glad we didn't cancel. Such a beautiful course with the right amount of challenging holes for my husband and I. Pace was excellent, fairways and greens were in excellent shape.

We stopped for a drink and snack afterwards and the lady was friendly and nice to talk to. The girl at the Pro Shop was friendly as was our Starter. The pace was excellent and we had no problems on the course. We were made to feel very welcome.

We know why hole #14 was called Alligator Alley. I was about to take a photo of the beautiful blooms when I noticed an alligator on the ground under the signpost. I first thought it was "staged"... but no, it was real. Amazing Day!

It was a beautiful day on a beautiful course with 3 locals for lots of course knowledge. Loved the layout and the greens were awesome!

The course was a wonderful experience. From the time you walked in the front door until you leave was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, the course was immaculate, perfectly manicured. I thought it was the middle of the summer. This is a must play if you visit Savannah.

The course is in amazing shape the greens are fast and true and the fairways are better than the greens at some courses. The cart GPS yardages are spot on. I really liked the new bunkers and the subtle changes they made courtesy of the damage Matthew did a few months ago.Great job on the recovery

Also keep an eye out, not all the hazards are part of the course!

This is easy. Played here a few times and yet to be disappointed with the course. We arrived for our T time about 1 1/2 hrs early and to our surprise after checking in and speaking with the starter for a minute he advised us if we where ready, to go ahead and play and yes it was busy but must have been a slot to be filled so we took it of course. Cudos to the strarter!! Once you've played this course, well Nothing around comes close that you can book on Golf Now!! If your in town it's a must play. The T Boxes are lush and green , fairways are lush and the greens are slick. It is diffently a shot makers course , so take the time to make good decisions because the next shot, well could be even tougher. Don't forgot about the wind! LOL it just seems to show up on some of the holes. They are doing a little work in some areas that are only going to make this course even Prettier! Is this course Perfect ,not sure any are but it's Pretty darn nice.

That was five stars all the way. Great layout. There were a few holes where the bunkers were being renovated but the update will definitely make the course better. The greens were in excellent condition and the fairways were perfect

Can not say enough about how much we enjoyed playing this course. Highly recommend this course.

It was a windy day today and it added to the challenges this course throws at you . The 2-3 club wind really changed the way you had to play some of the holes. The course is in great shape and there is new sand in the bunkers ,pace of play was good we played as a 2some and got waived right through the one group we caught up with. A definite play if you are in Savannah!

The staff was awesome. They made us feel right at home. I would have given the course all 5 stars without the bunker renovation that was going on. Cant wait to play again after the bunker renovation. If you hit a good shot, the course plays very fair. The greens were very true and fast(the way i like them). The tacos on Fridays at the turn are a must!

The course was in excellent shape, very challenging but not so hard that anyone couldn't enjoy it.

Second time playing here. Amazing deal staying at the Westin it's only $15 in December and January (I think I paid ($90 last Summer). Course was wet from recent rains but very playable. Greens rolled true, medium speed. They are working on a couple of bunkers but it's not intrusive. Windy day made for some holes playing short and some playing very long. Really enjoyable layout. Fairways overseeded, which I hadn't seen anywhere in some time. This course has a wonderfully appointed clubhouse and spa/locker rooms. First class. Staff is great, too. Pro shop, bag drop, starter, everyone friendly and helpful. Again, first class. Range was closed due to all the rain. Big fan of this club and wish I got to Savannah more often to play it.

Strongly recommend this course! Championship caliber with a variety of tee-shots and challenges. Certain holes require high lofting shots in order to hold the green, and others require target shots in order to set up your approach. Overall a great variety of golf holes. As with all Troon Golf, the course is flush. Also, bonus points for naming each individual hole. That is a cool touch!

Enjoyed the layout and the range was more then adequate. Large putting area and larger range. The staff were great assisting in any way they could. The layout is nice but the overseed is not fully developed and excessive use of water made the edges of the fairway soupy.

Played in in November and booked on golf now. There was no mention of overseeing prior to booking - cart path only.. golf now price was great, regular price - course not worth the money. At the Club we drove out to driving range - it classed; no one mentioned it. No greeting or welcome by starter. Once on the course course we noticed that many golfers had individual carts that could go on the fairways. We weren't given that option. All that being said we played in 4hours and 20 minutes; and that was with waiting on many holes. The course was in good shape especially following the hurricane, the greens were lightening fast compared to the other courses we played. Interesting holes in a pretty setting .

It was my first time playing the Harbor Club and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly at check-in and at the first tee. The course was in great condition despite being hard with the recent hurricane. The greens were running about 10 on the stimp and smooth. Overall a very fair and playable course for all skill levels. The long, 660 yard par-5, 7th hole is a gem! If you are in the area or passing through as we were, its a must play!

I really enjoyed my experience at this course. Everyone was friendly!!! The Course was in awesome condition and the greens were quick!!! I will be back!!!

I played this course at a discounted rate they had going during their veteran promotion and thankfully I didn't pay the normal price. The staff was rude on check in - they appeared to be training a new employee and were more focused on that than being pleasant or event speaking to me. I told them it was my first time playing there and asked where the range was and was told to just go outside and someone will get me setup from there... I managed to find the range which was nice, they had big fans blowing as it was pretty hot out.

I tee'd off on time and never saw a single staff member after that. No drink cart out and it had to be at least 95 out. Luckily lots of water stands but still would be nice to see a cart out on what is supposed to be a higher end course. Save your money and take the drive to hilton head and play something worth your time/cash.

The course itself was well maintained and the greens were good and quick. Play from the back as the layout isn't that challenging.
