Review of Ko Olina
First of all Greg the GM is awesome!! Was in the pro shop speaking with guests, making everyone feel at home. Thank you Greg!!!
Course is gorgeous!! No wonder its ranked in the top 75 best courses in the US (Golf Digest). Insane water, views for days! Scenery! Staff is exceptional! I can go on and on. I will always remember my time playing at the Ko Olina golf club. Thank you Ko Olina!!!
Great greens, great staff
I enjoyed this course despite playing poorly. The pace of play was slow compared to Turtle Bay yesterday where I was able to play by myself after my partner dropped when it rained.
The course at Ko Olina was in excellent shape and the greens were outstanding. Smooth and fast. Excellent staff, very aloha. Apparently the range is mats twice a week and that's what I got but the range is well marked and there is a nice putting green.
Awesome day
Anyone wanting to play when in Hawaii you have to make Ko olina your first choice.
Though I'm not a millionaire they treated me like a million bucks. The staff was super friendly and curtious. Gave me some great advice and some pointers before I headed to the first tee. I will definitely be back to play.
Mahalo for everything. Thanks for making my experience a great one.
Great course
Played twice This course this week . Perfect conditions . Wide fairways , nice greens and well designed. A bit on the high side for price but a very course
Golf is great in Hawaii
As Canadian, being able to go out to a tropical destination at the winter tail end meant so much for golf. And being able to play in one of the finest golf clubs in Oahu like Ko Olina Golf Club with very friendly staff and ground crew and of course the amenities and the course layout itself, prove that destination golf was worth a lot and enjoyable!
The Fairways were in nice shape. They were aerating the greens so they were almost unplayable. I feel the course is a bit overpriced for that reason.
Forgettable
For what you get, this course is grossly overpriced.I've played muni courses that are three times as aesthetically pleasing for a quarter of the price. It's a "residential" track, i.e., houses lining certain fairways, if you don't mind that sort of thing (I do). The wind was up, which made even the easier holes challenging. The greens rolled well but there were too many conspicuous previous cup placements; it became a running joke. Maybe a handful of holes were memorable.
But kudos to the staff. They were unfailingly friendly & helpful. And the grass range & short game practice area were sweet. Not nearly enough though to bring me back.
Great course for a resort!
Great course and layout. Greens not perfect, and resort layout/feel but challenging nonetheless.
Solid but unspectacular
A solid and well kept course (LPGA tour Lotte championship) but unspectacular and a little unmemorable, one or two holes are good. Not difficult, water in play on a few holes. (4 handicap). Over priced - Hawaii golf, guess you expect that! Service average, nice marshals and drinks cart came often. Speed of play slow due to numerous tourist groups. Probably worth $75-100. Charging higher due to LPGA event. Played twice after 1pm during stay due to convenience but might be worth considering Kapolei or others as well.
Great course, Driving range unavailable
This course was in great shape, the staff was excellent and friendly. However, I showed up an hour early so that I could use the driving range and was told it would not be available until after my tee time due to maintenance. For the price of this course, I should be able to warm up on the range as soon as it is open.
Ko Olina
Great track, friendly service, gps in carts is a bonus plus located on the west side of the island provides a much dryer course compared to others here.
Put it on your list. So far best yet
