Mauna Kea
Beautiful course but not in very good shape. Greens are barely puttable. This course is very challenging as there are very few flat lies even in the fairway.
Very enjoyable, great value.
Really enjoyed the course. Great pace. Had a GN deal for $133 all-in, and it’s definitely well worth that. No course is worth the usual $295. Greens quick, and a little rough, but otherwise great conditions, beautiful views, staff were fabulous- especially perfect and friendly service from Heather on beverage cart. Definitely recommended.
Mauna Kea
This is a wonderful course with fantastic views of the ocean and mountains. The elevated greens are a real challenge. I just loved the course.
Definitely an experience you'll remember
Yeah it was heavy-breezy the whole round but that's part of the experience here. You don't go to St. Andrews to play golf in the sunshine! I find it hard to believe that anyone would be disappointed after playing this course. It was hard to take enough time to actually enjoy all the scenery. Pace was fine - finished in just over 4.
Covid Side Note: Rakes are back in the bunkers everywhere - let's all do our part and start using them!
Stunning view!
I truly enjoyed my round there. The view was amazing and inviting! It’s a must play course!
Wonderful Hawaiian Golf
My first time here. I really enjoyed this course, the architecture, the views and the elevated greens.
Greens need overhaul
Mauna Kea is my favorite course. I’ve played it more than 50 times. Everything about the course was excellent except for the greens. A foreign strain of greens has infected the greens. Most every green has patches of this grass which effects how putts roll. I hope the course superintendent can get this under control soon.
Great Course
Most holes have breeze from water which helps on those hot days. Several view holes, but only #3 is on ocean. Course much like Pebble Beach courses.
Excellent experience!
We loved the course, beauty views, well maintained course, courteous service!

Over price Over rated
Poor Value for money spent
Fairways are OK, Greens is inconsistent. Many brown dry spots on greens. Singles and twosome are send out, which create a big log jams.
Not worth the money. I played at Kona Country Club three times, the fairways and greens are excellent. Fees are half the cost.
The staff in the pro shop not welcoming.
Riders fee is too much.
I'll never go back until greens are improve
Course conditions
Great scenery, layout - course conditions were average!. Views again - unbelievable!
POOR GREENS SAVE YOUR MONEY PLAY OTHER COURSES
Poor customer relations at the pro shop. Not very friendly and ignore our presence to see if we need assistance in purchasing merchandise outside service is good. GREENS ARE HORRIBLE AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT.
Kona CC has better fairways and excellent greens that cost a lot less
Not worth the money to play
Pro shop not welcoming, and the employee never welcomes us upon entering. Poor employee relations.
Greens are terrible many dry brown spots, not good to putt on. For such an expensive course I expect better greens.
I played in muni golf courses that have better greens.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO PLAY KONA CC WITH EXCELLENT FAIRWAYS AND GREENS AT HALF THE PRICE
