Good course for average joes
I liked this course as it was in decent shape at a decent price. There are a lot of beginners to average players. I would not come here expecting it to be top of the line and having great amenities. If you want a decent course for a decent price and not looking to join the korn ferry tour anytime soon, this is your place. Just a fun little place to enjoy with family and friends, nothing too serious.
GOLF CONDITIONS
NOT VERY GOOD, NEEDS WATER AND NEW GRASS, PLAYED MOSTLY ON WEEDS
Not what it used to be
I was expecting a first class day, and was not very nice at all. Weeds everywhere, terrible fairways, nothing nice to look at, practice nets were a joke.
Great fun 9 course! Much appreciated
It was a pleasure and happy to play this course again. Love the front 9, course was a little dry but that’s because of not much rain in May. Loved how the course rolled it made my ball go further and longer. Greens were super hard and fast, very challenging. Both Eric and Matt were great and very friendly. Even Eric carried my clubs to the cart. Much appreciated and would highly recommend to anyone who loves to play golf.
Thanks for the wonderful experience and
Look forward to playing again soon! Thank you!
Hot Afternoon
Front 9 holes are in good condition. The greens are in very good condition. However, the back nine are not well care for. The greens have patches of dried grass and several other have large divots. The pace was ok.
A tale of two courses
The front is very easy. I shot a 44. The back adds 30 to 40 yards to most holes and becomes extremely difficult. If you are a high handicapper, I recommend blue on the front but white on the back.
There was no cart girl, the bar and grill was closed and the fridge in the pro shop very lightly stocked. And not bags of ice.
A tale of two nines.
The front nine is very straightforward with opportunities to score. The back nine can be harsh if you venture off the fairway. My bag was 7 golfballs lighter by the end of the round.
Fair condition.
Lots of weeds. Some greens and fairways were rough.
Good value
Decent course for the price. Friendly staff. Pace of play was a little slow. Probably a lot of first timers for the season as it was a nice day
Good course
Overall a decent course for the price. There is one par-4 hole that most of the fairway is still recovering from flood damage, but the rest of the course is good. Staff is friendly. Greens were fast which added to experience. Overall a good course.
Time to give it another look
Cranes Landing is worth checking out again if you haven't been there in a few years. Course conditions have improved with management putting money in for course improvements. Staff is great and welcoming.
