General Burnside Island State Park

I played this course while camping at General Burnside state park. Absolutely beautiful course! The layout was fun and the course conditions were pristine! Staff was very friendly.

This course is always in fantastic shape. No bad lies in the fairways and the rough is usually kept cut at a fair height. For the $, this course is the best within 50 miles in any direction. Next best course would be Dale Hollow state park. Not a long course, but when the pins are tucked, this course will challenge even lower handicap players. Par 3s are the great equalizer on this course. Score well on the par 3s, and you will like your overall score at the end of the day. You will not be disappointed if you tee it up at Burnside.

I have played Burnside several times in the last few months. Course is well maintained considering the rainy weather we have been experiencing. Hats off to the park personnel they are always smiling and will help any way they can. Their hospitality makes it easy to come back and play again.

This is the best public course I have ever played. Fairways and greens were perfect. Not a long course but definitely not an easy course. It will be hard to find a flat lie. Greens run true. Great staff and cant beat the value. I will playing this course again.

Course is in great shape from tees to fairways to greens. Plenty of trouble to get into play position instead of length, remember it's not how far, it's how many.

I love playing at burnside. I enjoy everytime and the greens putt so true.

Very well layed out course. fairways wide but undulating requiring good ball placement. Greens in terrific conditions especially in late fall weather. Well designed for a beginner to a weekly player. Scenery of the lake adds to the greatness of this course. A must do for any golfer.

Course fun to play,par 3's all you want from back tees.

first time playing in about 3 years there. course was excellent tee to green. greens were a little slow, prob due to heat. fairways are perfect. great value to play

It's worth the drive, I wish I lived closer, great course

Greens were recently aerated and a little slow. Bunkers were well groomed and in excellent shape for the amount of rain the area has received. Fairways are wide enough and playable if you get a little crooked. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Deer & wild turkey abound.

Always enjoy playing here!! After your round, there are tons of nice places to eat. Put this course on your bucket list!!

Course is in super shape. They have an overzealous ranger or two but overall it's a player!!

Excellent course, great layout, very fair. Lots of up and down hills. Greens are very good for a public course. Narrow at times with lots of woods.
