An unexpected diversion during our round. Photo submitted by Chuck2063203 on 07/05/2018
Beautiful fall day
Greens a little beat up but all in all in decent shape for November. Better hit it straight or this course will eat your lunch. Worth the drive if you an get a good deal on Golf Now.
Best it’s looked in years
This golf course was flooded several months ago. The staff have done a great job. This is the best the course has been in years..
JUST OK
Nothing great about this course. Plays wet most of the year. Ky parks really screwed this course up.
Didn't lay it out properly. Water floods the course every hard rain. Call ahead before you play.
average course
too many courses in much better shape close to home.
staff was friendly. course is average at best. had lost almost 2 greens on the back nine. too many twosomes. need to pair people up! pace of play was terrible on back nine.
golf now needs to come up with something to get these courses to tell you ahead of time if they are cart path only!
if i pay to ride, that means TO MY BALL!
riding down the cart path and walking 100 yards with 3 clubs every shot isnt my idea of riding
if not, refund me the cart fee and ill walk!
its not fun to pay to ride and walk the entire course.
Greens need attention.
If not for very poor greens this would’ve easily been one of the best courses I’ve EVER played. Staff was friendly, there was some mention of a flood that happened, but no mention of the greens being in such bad shape. Get the greens up to par and I’ll definitely be back. Great, challenging layout in a beautiful setting. FIX THE GREENS! Lol
Greens Need Work
The fairways were in great shape. However, the greens were not. It was also more expensive some of the other state park courses that were in much better shape.
Very nice course
Had not played here in many years, but decided to drive the 90 miles from home to get there. Was not disappointed. They were not busy (on a Monday) and was able to play alone in about 3 hours or so. Considering that the course was flooded back in February, it was in good shape. Greens were very good, and not too fast. There were some areas where the grass was a little thin, but that will get better with time. Good layout with a variety of tees to fit your game. And the employees were great. Very welcoming. I would highly recommend this course. Now, if you are going to nitpick about some of the areas still recovering from flood, don't play here.
I will definately be back. Wish it was closer to my home.
Great course
Course and staff were excellent, can’t wait to play here again. I played with a guy named mike, who works at the course. If he offers to play with you, do it. Very friendly and a great guide if its you’re first time. He’s also a pretty good golfer.
Nice !!
Nice place for $$ - greens roll great !! Will be back soon.
Good course
The course Nd most of the staff were great. All except the guy in the pro shop. Not friendly or welcoming. At the turn I stopped in for a cup of coffee ( it was only about 42 degrees out). He told me that they dont have coffee. Only beer and pop. As I looked over at big commercial coffee maker, he said that they have a coffee maker but he doesn't make coffee because he doesn't drink it. Sad that customs rate so low for him. But he was really the only bad thing that I found . I
Awesome Course
As usual the course was noce and well taken care of. Everyone is friendly and nice that work there.
Eastern KY Gem
Donnie called well he and his staff do a great job. The golf course is in fantastic shape. Played on a Friday morning and the pace of play was wonderful. I highly recommend you check out one of southeastern Kentucky is best.
