Woodson Bend Resort

Woodson Bend has come a long way. The course was in excellent shape, and well kept. Front nine starts out easy, letting the golfer get their swing dialed in, then it gets 'fun'. Back nine is a real challenge, weaving through the woods and terrain. Beautiful track. Staff is friendly, and fun to chat.

Club shop has great apperal, shoes, clubs and bags at very good prices.

The course was recently done and released on the GSPro golf simulator software, one is located in Somerset above Birdies and Barrels.

Played this course a lot growing up. I've moved away and like to come back for nostalgic purposes. Course was not in very good shape with long fairways and slow greens, but that I can handle. The $50 price tag was a lot, but again, getting to reminisce over past experiences with my father and son, I can handle that. What was incredibly disappointing was the terrible attitude of a young man in the pro shop. My father, a 65 year old man who was getting over a recent fall, drove close to his ball to play the shot. It was either that or try to walk it, and he chose to drive up near the ball. He parked in the rough near the practice green, played his shot, and then got the cart back to where it needed to be. The young man in the shop came out and proceeded toward the green. However, his approach was terrible. I heard him tell my dad that he can't be driving there. I responded with an apology and said we won't do that again, but that wasn't enough for him, he made a point to tell my dad exactly what he'd done and that he can't be doing that anymore.

The frustrating part was he came all the way down from. The clubhouse to call out a local rule infraction to my father, despite me already conceding the point. And the fact that there were multiple groups of more than 4 golfers (also against the rules), and people out there driving wherever they wanted. So he singled out my elderly father, for what?

I've been playing there since 1996, and use to enjoy it, but not anymore. Apparently they will cater to the tourist crowd, and not the ones that supported that location whenever tourism suffered at various times. It's a shame, the pro Tim has always ran a tight ship so this was surprising. Much better value to play at Burnside, which will be where I recommend everyone to play if in Somerset.

First time on this course Well worth the money Had to play behind a slow group all day but we just took our time and enjoyed the views and the wildlife Saw several deer Greens were in good shape except for some deer tracks on some of them Will be playing this course again Lots of holes where driver needs to stay in the bag Lots of unique hole layouts

Been visiting Woodson Bend Resort for over 20 years now. Been a "guys" golf trip ranging from 4 to 20 people. Always a good time!
Golf package is unbeatable! Greens are always in great shape. Staff all around the place are very helpful and friendly.

excellent, my first time playing here, I can't wait to go again, absolutely beautiful, beautiful abundant wildlife, such a pleasure to see the deer up close, had a wonderful time.

The resort golf course is well maintained, beautiful at any time of year! There is tons of wildlife, and the course is very forgiving. For the Lake Cumberland area this is my favorite spot to spend an afternoon golfing.

Beautiful place to play golf. The staff was very friendly and wanted us there. A lot of doglegs on the course. Speed of play was incredible. I will go back every chance I get.

Woodsen Bend is a great golf Course. Definitely one of your must plays when visiting or living in Pulaski County. groundskeepers do a great job keeping this course looking good.

A little confusing on the use of Golfnow.com but, no problem. Good course, excellent staff!
