best deal for the $

A modern and well kept course. Huge greens, excellent putting surfaces, good bunker sand, wide fairways-only the roughs are a bit uneven. Some very challenging holes but all in all a good experience. I played it twice in one day and was charged only $22 fur the replay(cart inc.)

Great Course

I found a tee time for 29.00 on golf now and decided to try this course considering it normally costs 119.00 a round. I was very happy with the overall condition of the course and how maintained the greens and fairways were. The signature holes 17 and 18 are amazing and make a great ending to your round.

A Must Play

Awesome time at River Marsh! Everything was great from arrival to departure. Staff very friendly, course in great condition for being early in the season and the beers were kept cold! We will definitely return to play this course and highly recommend for others to experience! Thank you River Marsh!

Beautiful Course

This won't be one of the most challenging courses you'll play, but it will be one offering one of the best views around. Many of the holes are on the Choptank River. When you're not looking at the serene water, you're looking at the vast number of deer that snack around many of the greens. While the approach shots to the greens aren't challenging, the speed and undulation of the greens will certainly shave some strokes off your final score. Very fast and challenging greens, especially earlier in the day before the greens have grown a bit. I'd love to sit all day and bet golfers that they can't make the green on the par 3 17th. Very challenging hole with a long shot over the shoal.

One thing else I'll mention. Even though this is a high-end resort, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices charged on the beverage cart. $2.50 for a domestic beer is very, very reasonable. Other prices for food and drink are inline, too.

If you've never played this course, you should.

Awesome course!

The conditions from tee boxes to greens were awesome. Unfortunately it was slightly cold and very windy when I played. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed my round. I can only imagine how great this course is going to be the next time I play on a warmer and less breeze day.

Excellent in every aspect

Beautiful course, excellent condition for post-winter, tremendous staff, and great value at Golf Now rates. Two hour drive from McLean, VA at 6:45 AM. Very worthwhile day if combined with some Choptank exploration or a 36 hole adventure. Tough to be a regular from VA, but if you have the time and inclination to travel….play River Marsh! If you have a golf course list - put it on.

Course in good shape for time of the year

Course was in good condition. They had just aerated the greens which made putting tough. I can tell in spring and summer it is a beautiful course. I would like to play again then.

The course is always in good shape. And for the end of November, it was in very good shape.

This was a great deal. I decided to book the deal at the last minute (7:30 a.m.), and the tee time was for 9:30 a.m. By the time I got to the course, the voucher was already there. Played a nice course for $27, when it would have cost me about $60. Will definitely continue to use GOLFNOW.

A beautiful course..we'll maintained..no marshals

..no marshals but the cart girl was terrific. The fairways and bunkers were great for the weather. Other local courses seemed to not weather the cold as well. the grounds people there have been there for at least 10 years..it shows. I 've have had trouble booking with them..never having a tee time available ..but they seem to clean up their act some...not like Queenstown..still acting up.

Beautiful setting

Course overall in good shape. Greens were average speed. A couple of them were a little worn but for this time of year were good. Saw some bucks and blue heron on course. Great deal thru Golf now as usual.

Great Course - pricey but a good splurge

It was late in the season when I played so there were a huge # of ball marks, divots etc on the fairways, tee boxes etc. But it's a beautifully designed course, along the river and marsh. Lots of wildlife, a gopher ran across the tee box on 17 right after we vacated! It's probably the best designed course in the region.

Great Course That will Test You!

River Marsh truly takes the surrounding land features and blends them into a great golf experience. First, you don't get cheated when they say "Marsh" as they come into play on many of the holes. Second, there is a ton of soft white sand bunkers so be tactical with both tee and fairway shots. This course has 5 par 3's including the well known 17th. You want to "club up" on 17 for sure! Greens have a moderate degree of undulation and break. Try to stay below the holes as the speed will easily put you facing a 3-putt. Ever have deer stand next to the tee box and watch your drive? They will at River Marsh! Will for sure go back.

Very nice course. Scenic views

Enjoyed the course. Windy October afternoon. Very challenging
Tough par 3's. We had a foursome and were annoyed by several twosomes and singles coming up behind and we let play through.

Natural Beauty

I prefer a course in a natural setting away from housing. This
course offers just that. River Marsh winds through wetlands,
creeks and the beautiful Choptank River. Mature trees add to
the prestine setting along with a abundance of wildlife. The course has a few challenging holes, but also offers many
chances to capture those birdies. A true pleasure to play.
Would recommend this course a must play. Dennis W.
