Rocky Gap Casino Resort

The course was in excellent condition. Only comment would be the greens were very slow. The layout is a great challenge that requires a variety of shot making skills. We will continue to make the trip to play Rocky Gap. I

I want to leave an honest review in hopes that the golf staff , mainly superintendent see this. The design and layout of the course is as good as you could do with the land that was already there. However the course needs some serious attention to be considered above average.

The greens have potential but it seemed like the holes hadn’t been changed out in many days. There were scuffs, worn out areas all around the holes. While other parts of the greens were immaculate.

Tee Boxes we’re also messy and needed changed out.

The range up on the hill has a very nice view to start your round but once again , practice areas were soaked and balls were in loading plates full of water.

We came to golf and gamble and frankly neither was worth a return from Ohio ( 4 hour drive )

It was a little soggy for it heavily rained shortly before our tee time which limited us to the cart paths. Great weather for us though amongst a beautiful setting.

Very nice layout. Front nine mostly in woods and hilly. Back nine mostly out in open and less hilly. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Not that the course can control this but, be prepared for an abundance of nats & bugs flying around you.

Nice course in the hills of Maryland. Can get busy in the summer as casino/resort goers take up the parking lot. Course is nice and challenging, but can be pricey without a 'deal'.

I have played here on and off since it opened.It was in adequate shape-usually it is in awful shape.Many problems still-Its not on Ghin so you cant play a proper match.The starter never/ever has your tee time if you have made it on Golf Now.Quite comical because they use the same excuse every year. Biggest issue now by far is what they did with tees and scorecard.They got rid of 2 sets of tees.So now the blue tees play all the way back.Skip 2 -4 tee boxes on every hole and thats were the white tees are now.At most 5800 yards.I played blue at 6800--So I do not suggest a mixed tee of golfers-so scrap the multi group outings.Course regular rates way too high and prices for food/drinks absurd.--Like I said only play to get to casino and take a break from.

The course has some challenging holes, but was not yet in very good shape. The greens had some disease spots and were not always rolling true. Some of the tee boxes were raggedy. No water on the course and not at all easy to refill water bottles in the building.

Fun but challenging course. Great scenery. I'll be back.
