All of the staff, starters, and service members are friendly. Joe made a good impression on me the first time I ever played the course. More than happy to show you around or give you tips about navigating course play. The conditions are fairly good. The staff work hard (I see grounds crew out a lot). Only complaint on conditions is certain bunkers don’t drain well and certain greens have dead spots. Pace of play can be an issue, as the course gets lots of play. The staff works hard to navigate this but lots of players try to rush their own round ahead of pace which can be annoying. Overall good course, great layout, and enjoyable experience. (Spice note but anyone complaining about price on this app is lame. It’s GolfNow; none of us are paying full price on ANY of our rounds.)

The Woods is fantastic. If you want a bunch of scenic shots and birdie opps, play the exec. The championship course is tough. Play both

Tee to green the conditions were really bad. They blamr a lack of rain, but tsome of the fairways were muddy?Also, I had 2 groups out for business and all the snack shack had was hot dogs for lunch. Not a great look. Won't be going back.

This used to be my top 2 or 3 places to play. Not now. Course is in rough shape. Front 9 is worse than the back 9. Burnt out fairways, junky bunkers that one would be sand dust with clay and stones everywhere and the next one wouldn’t be too bad minus the stones. I feel kind of bad leaving this review, but I won’t play there again until I hear it’s in better shape…

Course was a good layout, but the front nine greens are barely puttable, but the back nine greens were in good shape. Don’t know what happened with the front . Front Nine tee boxes could use some work. fairways were in decent shape.

There is a good course there somewhere, but it would need a lot of work. Overgrown everywhere, greens are terribly slow.

The golf course struggles with mid summer heat and humidity. Greens were slow and heavily watered. The staff did an excellent job despite the slowness and some inconsistency. Playing during the midday hours, the fairway sprinklers were on making the fairways very soft.

Given those conditions, the pace of play was great and the great layout of the course was fun. Would highly recommend visit and play Rocky Gap Casino golf couse.

I booked a tee time using GolfNow for Rocky Gap thinking it was wide open as the app said. I arrived to find out they didn’t have my booking because their system and GolfNow are not linked up. In fact they were booked almost solid but were able to rush me to the tee to get out. So give them credit for making it work. But know in advance that if you book here they may not get your reservation!

I was also disappointed by the course conditions. For a busy prime time Saturday the tee boxes and greens clearly had not been mowed. Greens were extremely slow and putts would not stay true in the scruffy grass. Some greens had large dead spots as well, rather surprising for this price point of a course. Pace of play was almost glacier slow with 3 deep on several tees on the back. No ranger to be found. Layout is interesting enough to say give it a go. But keep expectations low and hope for the best when booking.

Not worth $109. Not one bunker was raked Abundance of clover around the greens and traps. Staff was grumpy. Nice layout except for the back to back par 3’s.

Great course in great condition as always! Very challenging course. As it’s in the mountains be ready to lose some balls to the forests lining most of the holes. It’s right along 68 but there’s only a few holes that you can tell it is. Only issue was the starter and the guy at the bag drop seemed pretty annoyed that we booked through golf now. Seems golf now tee times don’t get added to the tee sheet consistently by the pro shop. Internal issue. We got to go out on time regardless but didn’t enjoy feeling like we were being shamed for booking through an app that rocky gap is on when the app is offering better deals.

We booked a tee time 24 hours ahead on golf now and the staff didn’t know anything about it. They tried to squeeze us in before a 10:00 am golf outing of 12 people even though we had 10:00 am off golf now. The staff said, “yeah that golf now messes everything up”. They don’t know how to incorporate it and shouldn’t be on golf now if not. Starter said that is an everyday occurrence for them. Course was not taken care of well with unplayable bunkers, tee boxes that were as long as rough, and very fuzzy greens. Money is much better spent at Thousand Acres near Oakland that we played the day before with similar weather conditions.

The good - With the exception of a few holes (e.g. Par 3, #12), the course layout is very good and challenging. The views, particularly on the front 9, are stunning.

The not so good - Due to persistent rain in the area, the conditioning of the course was not up to snuff. The greens were glacial (maybe an 8 on the stimpmeter) and many of the bunkers had water in them.

Will I return? Yes. The value/price is attractive and I have to believe that the course conditions were an anomaly.

Played tips it's long. was cart path only so slower play but also saw a few fivesomes and a sixsome some out there, not sure what that was about.

The staff was friendly and helpful as soon as we were approaching the pro shop. We were checked in and headed to the tee quick as a wink. The couse was in great shape with the exception of one fairway. You would do well to keep it in the fairway. The weeds are tall just 5 - 10 yards either side and it's not likely that you'll find your ball. I lost 4.

Nice course unfortunately the weather was really nasty. The rain and wind were not accommodating for golf today. The course was cartpath only so there was a considerable amount of walking. Should have got a rain check for another day. Pop
