Well maintained Fun to play
Boyne courses are always great to play! The Alpine at the Mountain is no exception! Very well maintain and in great condition. Greens are moderately fast, and the fairways are groomed and watered. Our only complaint on this day was on the back nine we had a sixsome playing in front of us (a twosome) and they were in no hurry. Even on #18, when they (finally) finished, they took their time putting their bags in order before (finally) leaving the area around the green. I won’t go into the pro shop’s reaction to our complaint, suffice it to say it was not good. Tough getting good help in the COVID beleaguered economy! But, if your not stuck behind a sixsome, the Alpine is a great round of golf.
Review
Excellent Layout. The greens were in Ok hape only and was not rolling that well.
The off course ameneties for food selection was not great but the staff were awesome and extremely friendly
We were a group of 6 and for the money we paid was not justified by course conditions.
The greens in practice green was perfect but we did not find them in same shape on the courses
The views and layout was awessome
All in all we will recommend this course but at a lesser price of about $70.00 is a good value
NOT WHAT WE EXPECED.
Only able to play 2 holes due to lots of rain and threats of thunder & lightening.
What I saw I like! Staff very friendly. Only issue was that I was able to purchase 18 holes on a special and then could not play due to weather. A rain check was given back in a voucher that was pro rated because we got in 2 holes. It would have been very customer friendly to at least given us a voucher for 9 holes (reason being we had a good deal for 18 due to a special and did not expect to get a voucher for 18). very disappointed in how the raincheck ws handled.
Awesome
This is a fabulous course. I would love to play it again. Very fast greens. Loved it!!!!
Kick butt course
Played for first time. Fair but challenging. Greens good. I am good putter yet 3 putted twice. Do not get above hole Each hole we’ll layer out
Alpine
Great course, you need to place your shot but very friendly course. I love playing it.
Great Golf
Beautiful course, excellent conditions, friendly staff.
Well Done!
Great course with a unique feel to each hole. Gorgeous views of northern Michigan with every swing!
Great Course -Average experience
Golf Course is awesome. Fun, challenging and well conditioned. Be careful regarding when you book your tee time. We were surrounded by boisterous foursomes who were drinking, cussing and playing loud music from their carts. On on tee box we heard country music from the adjacent fairway and from the other adjacent fairway we could easily head rock n roll. Course Rangers were ineffective. Noted a group of 8 playing together. Felt like a mass production facility vs a unique golf experience.
Ski-slope golf in Boyne Country
Your day starts off with a 10-minute golf cart ride up the ski hill to the first tee - How cool is that?
I only played nine holes, but it was all I needed to see to realize I had vastly underrated the Alpine since I last played here 6-7 years ago. It's a fun track, filled with interesting holes and lots of nice scenery. The greens were fast and challenging.
The round ends with an island green on No. 18, so it's a memorable experience from start to finish.
Absolute Golf Paradise
Played here on a Canadian golf show package. Course was perfect . Very green and well manicured. Staff were amazing. Could not pick out a fault.
A Monument in its own right
Held the head to head portion of the tournament at this track, 16 dudes and all were very impressed.
The course was in immaculate shape, fast and true greens. A little tight so only let the big boy eat if you're piping, a wood on most holes will serve you just fine. My opponent refused to shelve the drive-piece and proceeded to get worked and put away early.
Signage could be better, accidentally played the wrong hole, but most likely user error.
Listen to the ranger, a gentleman and a scholar who loves giving advice and knows the course.
Solid play.
Solid Track in the Boyne Family
The Alpine at Boyne Mt. is on the lower tier of the 10 Boyne golf courses, but that doesnt mean it is not worth of playing. The course weaves down the back side of Boyne Mountain Summit and offers a wide variety of layouts. With 5 tees to choose from it is a fair fair golf course for any level of golfer. If you an early riser, a round can easily be completed in 2.5 hours, ive done it many times at this course. Overall its a solid golf course that would be more publicly lauded if it was located in the lower part of the state or wasnt under the umbrella of BoyneGolf
A Fun Value for Boyne
Nice layout with some good scoring holes. Greens are a bit difficult to figure out. Conditions were excellent. Staff is very helpful. Good variety of holes which will keep you interested.
Boyne has some excellent courses. This one is a good warm up round for groups or scrambles.
Very good value. Only complaint is quality of bunkers.
Play it Again
The Alpine is quite simply a fun golf course that has always been in wonderful condition each time I've played it. The rates are good and it is challenging enough to keep your interest without causing serious frustration, or a trip to the pro shop after the turn to buy more balls. The views of Deer Lake make a great setting and the staff couldn't have been nicer.
Such a fun course!
My family and I could play this course over and over! We absolutely loved the Avalanche Bay Water Park too.
Nice golf course
Such a fun golf course; could play it over and over and never get bored
