Beginning of fairway - hole #2 Photo submitted by u000007521173 on 07/09/2013
Great golf course that made you feel like your group was the only ones on the course.
This is a very challenging layout that requires all your shots with every club in your bag , and you better have several golf balls in your bag.
Great Value at the price I paid.
My only complaint is that this course cold be just a bit more manicured. The layout is challenging. The landscape is impressive.
Excellent pace!!
This course was an exceptional value through GolfNow at $20!!!
The regular rate of $69 is definitely overpriced. I am sure that is why there were so few people there. Nice course but should be about $45 regular rate. Great course to play in the Fall, very scenic with lots of trees.
this course was in great shape
this course was great to play. it was very challanging
hilly, curvy, difficult but fun!
Best to stay in the fairway as many of the holes are divided by tall grass and weedy bushes. I lost 6 brand new balls, but found 12! Still, a very pretty course, but challenging, lots of fun.
Holes are challenging, with nice scenery
I played this course for the second time and was in better shape this time around. The play was incredibly slow 6hours is a long time to play 18 holes. They need a ranger to speed things up, it shouldn't matter if the 8 some that was ahead of us stayed at the resort or not. We payed or money to play.
This course is beautiful
First time booking with Golfnow, good experience. Course was ready for us. Course is in excellent condition. A real value in Northern Michigan
Beautiful piece of property! Very scenic
The fairways and greens were in great shape. The tee boxes were not so great, especially the red tees.
White tees is all the golf you want!
The course is well maintained with the exception of the cart paths which have fallen in disrepair. The average player from the White tee markers will have all the course they want (average driving the ball 200 to 250 in play). It is demanding shot making but fair. We played just after it rained so the fairways were not fast. The greens were in excellent condition. The only problem I would have is on the 9th and 18th greens attract the geese and their droppings (for us greens still had droppings on them). The staff I wouldn't say were unfriendly but with the rain sure felt like we were an inconvenience and not necessaryily happy to see us. Due to the rain in the morning no one was in the snack shop. But no hot dogs or pre wrapped cold sandwiches available either. I would still recommend highly at the $41 we paid to play this course. It WILL TEST YOUR game. You need to think this course not pull out driver and blast away.
Best course I played for the price on the Lakeshore.
Course played fairly difficult only because it was my first time on it and didn't know the layout. Lots of hills, elevated tee shots were awesome! Greens were not easy. Very fun course and will play again for sure!
Challenging course layout.
The course is not maintained as well as it used to be. The guy in the pro shop needs a lesson in customer service. He barely acknowledged us and then tossed us a cart key and grumbled the cart #. That was his total conversation with us.
Greens were near perfect and the balls rolled true. The course affords spectacular views of West Michigan's fruit orchards.
Grandview Golf Course has been a favorite since it opened in 1994 and is a fun and fair challenge to golfers with intermediate to advanced skills. While not extremely long I don't suggest "beginners" to attempt it alone or with other beginners as pace of play is geared to more experienced players.
Big, beautiful challenging course.
Can't say enough good things about my experience booking and playing this awesome course. Greens were perfect and fairways/tees well manicured. The staff allowed me to change my tee time from 3pm to 8am. Overall, five-star rating.
This course is a good challenge
Great course, nice not seeing people all over the course, like that its very scenery and a good challenge, not a straight par 4 or 5, everyone is a dogleg. Very long from the tips. Fair for women
Great Course at a Great Price!
I would give this course a 5 star rating but I felt that some of my best shots were from the rough. The fairways are almost always severely sloped. Sometimes, hitting from the fairway, I felt as if I was awkwardly shooting from the rim of a sand trap. Otherwise, very well maintained, beautiful, links style course that is definitely a "must play" if you're in the area.
Amazing deal
Awesom value. Can't ask for anything more. Such a fun course!
Great, scenic course
Great scenic course. Will definitely play again. Enjoyed the course.
Beautifull golf course through the woods
Nice variety of holes. Some are very challenging, some not so challenging. Beautifully greens.
wonderful course
This course is a treat to play. Very challenging with trouble lurking on every hole. Wonderful wooded setting. I played this last year and the bunkers were the only problem spots on the course. They have addressed the bunkers and now everything is in great shape. This course deserves more attention and play than it receives. It's a great track!
One of our favorite courses
Great layout and no crowds is the reason we like it so much. Plus low rates and friendly staff only adds to the value of Grandview! Played it 3 times last week, and 3 times this week.
