Gull Lake View Golf Resort

Course was in great condition, Rough was long which added to the challenge. Some players were not fixing their landing spots on the greens, thus we sometimes had to spend additional time repairing ball marks on the green so that our putts would roll smoothly. Other than that the course was challenging and in good condition.

Course was quite tight, but in spectacular shape, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Excellent sandwiches and hot dogs at the turn.

Had an absolute blast on the course, very fun time. 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s, 6 par 5s, make for a fun day, really enjoyed my time and will be back.

Tee to green doesn’t disappoint. Small improvements could make this course a true gem.

We made a special trip to play this course as it is a nice track! We had two to three groups on every tee and completed 6 holes in 2 hours???? And they had a ranger? They shove as many players as they can on the course with 9 minute tee times, gong show!

I asked the manager for a rain check for 9 holes for my group. He was absolutely useless and did not care what’ so ever. We booked through an app and he didn’t like that and was down right mean in his demeanor. The worst example of service I have witnessed in a long time. He admitted he could give me a rain check but wouldn’t because we booked through the app and there was nothing he could do? He said, go get your refund from the app. All I wanted was a rain check for 9 holes and he wouldn’t. He was happier losing me, my three adult boys for a lifetime. I will not play any of the Scott family courses as a result of this managers conduct. Plus for a resort to allow 6 hour rounds is an embarrassment.

I would not recommend ever playing any of these courses as all they care about is jamming the courses. I heard from another group that every time they come it’s slow play.

My buddy and I played here four years ago at the north course and we’re pretty impressed so I brought the wife back down to play it day after Memorial Day and in all honesty she likes the south course better which we played a couple years ago. I guess we’re more traditional tree lined. Don’t get me wrong. The course itself is very nice. Super large greens very fast generously wide, fairways nice sand trap conditions, but in all honesty, not to not too many memorable whole that stand out from each other. So if we ever played the Stonehenge courses again, we would probably play the south, but we have to play the Gold Lake East and west first. If you come back down this far to play I guess 66 bucks for two of us pretty good price to pay.

We got out about 10 minutes early started on the back nine for the day. They wanted us to start on number 10 and we breeze through in 2 1/2 hours nobody behind us nobody in front of us unbelievable day after Memorial Day May 27, 2025. It is pretty country down this way we do like the rolling Hills Came down from north of Grand Rapids.

I am an average golfer and play fairly often. The course was in excellent shape and greens rolled very nice. Bunkers we “good” but could use more sand. I must say my only real negative to this course was the pin locations. They were unfriendly. Like obviously unfriendly and on some holes nearly unmanageable. Made it interesting but also made not fun.

Had a fun time playing the course. Not spectacular but a solid course worth playing.

The course overall is very nice. Pace of play was great. Very friendly staff. Only issue was hole placement on the greens. Almost all of them were set on a slope. If you were long on a putt by 2 or 3 inches you ended up 10-15 feet away by the time the ball stopped rolling. Hit multiple shots pin high that rolled back off the green and I put no spin on the ball. I couldn’t understand the need to set up the holes like that for recreational golfers. Still enjoyed the round. Beautiful course.

Beautiful overall course. Challenging and graceful course. Well kept greens and fair ways. One of the best in Michigan.
