Nice course, but tough
Very pleased with the course. Got a great hot deal, so it was a very nice course for what I paid.
Wonderful Day!
The course was in great shape! Had a great round with a good friend! Shot pretty decent as well.
Always a favourite
Love love this course. Only thing negative is so much walking even with a cart. We are in our late 70’s and the walking is exhausting. If u go off the fairways the cart shuts down and on 18 we literally had to push cart to get it too go again. Could have had a heart attack.
Great little getaway
Very nice course with staff to match it very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return the only drawback was the greens were aerated but the rest of the course made up for it. Good value, will definitely return.
Love love this course!
Such a challenging course! Beautifully layed out. Only complaint I would have here is there is a lot of walking involved up and down which is a challenge for seniors over 70 with hip or knee issues. Thus the reason for a cart. If u go off the fairway the cart quit running and I mean only a few steps off so we had to literally push the car until it started and I’m 79 and hubby is 78. Could have had a heart attack. Other wise perfect and fun. Especially in fall with the trees in colour.
Fun course and greens and fairway in great shape. Only negative was they were plugging the front 9 greens and that was not noted on the golf now app. The fortress did call me and inform us of that so we just played the back 9 twice. Look forward to playing again and including the front 9. Only other negative is the clubhouse concession stand is located right next to the water treatment plant and it’s not an inviting smell to your dinning experience. We decided to grab a bite to eat elsewhere. But the facilities were very nice. Staff very friendly!
Beautiful golf course
Well manicured course, with a good variety of holes, over rolling terrain. I am a 9-10 handicap golfer and found it to be a good challenge.
Great day except….
We only saw the cart girl once during the round and it was on the first hole. Got a little thirsty.
Enforce pace if play
Pace of play very slow. Foresome in front of us was really behind and nobody attempted to speed them up. Other than slow play the course is excellent.
Excellent course but demanding.
The fortress is an excellent course for conditions and visuals, however, it’s a pretty hard golf course for a tourist town. Low handicap golfers will enjoy the course. If you are off the fairways you will get deep rough if you find your golf ball at all. If you are, the Muni blue tees player do yourself a favor and play the white tees or farther up just so you will enjoy the course and not complain that you wasted your money because the course is too hard.
