It is an 18-hole public golf course with a small Crown Pointe Lodge on site as well as other partner hotels that offer stay-and-play packages. Exceeded my expectations
Had a friend who prepaid for the round but someone bailed, so I subbed in and played for free. I hadn’t heard of the course so I looked at some of the reviews on this site and was bracing for some run down conditions. Boy, was I wrong as it was a strong course!
First off, not sure what happened in the earlier reviews but the greens were in excellent shape. Were smooth, rolled true and did not have many unrepaired ball marks. Plus, they were difficult and quite challenging with some steep slopes.
A few of the tee boxes weren’t great but most were solid. There was a big difference between the middle white tees at around 6,400 and the front black tees at 5,600. Would be nice to have a tee in the middle of those distances! The course was jam packed on a holiday and that led to a pretty slow round.
While I don’t go to a course to eat, the brats we had were bland and way overcooked. It was a pretty far drive for me but I would make the trip again for the regular rate. CP is not a high-end or fancy course but it is a good and solid track, especially considering it is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Greens are in poor condition
Crown Pointe is a nice golf course and can be as challenging as you want, especially if the wind is blowing. My only negative comment would be the condition of many of the greens - they started losing them in early summer last year. They are playable but many rough patches or missing grass in areas.

They had s tough summer with greens. Still most have some bad spots. The areas that are good on the greens were fast. Rest of course great shape. Fee was fairly discounted for greens.

Home course
So not a lot of courses nearby. I knew going in that greens were a mess,, brown spots, plus they were air rated last week. Doesn’t stop me from going out and having a great day on this course, fairways were great. I’m more easy to please than most, if I need to move my ball a couple of inches on greens what does it matter. I already know I’m a consistent 2 putter, and maybe 5 1 putts per 18. It’s about getting out and enjoying!!

Great golfing day
Fairways were in great shape. A few greens had brown spots but still playable. Always a great place to play.

I love this course but the greens were atrocious. We paid $25 a person on a discount round. THANK GOD. I would’ve been upset if I paid full price to play on this course at the moment.
