Nice layout

To many bare spots on fairway and not much golf eticate. Pace is to slow, and slow groups refuse to let faster players to play thru.

FABULOUS COURSE

Mohave Golf Resort is a beautiful course. There are always gorgeous mountain views in the background, and the course itself is in great shape. I would love to play this course any time.

Enjoyable Round

I read many negative reviews and was prepared for the worse. To my surprise the course was no where near as bad as stated by some. We enjoyed the layout and the pace of play was excellent. The carts with the GPS worked perfectly and added to the enjoyment of our round. Yes there were some bare spots on the fairway so we just moved the ballot a grassy area(not tournament players). The sand was not as soft and deep as one would like but it worked and was not loaded with any weeds. It runs through a residential area that looks very affordable if anyone is looking for winter housing. Bottom line is we will be back and give it another go. About a 1 hour drive from Lake Havasu.

Pleasant surprise

As we were driving there we were wondering how nice the course would be out in the middle of nothing. It was a pleasant surprise to find a well kept course. It is challenging and has plenty of interesting holes. We waited on most holes. The round took 4.5 hours. I think a marshall would be helpful. The fairways are wide and nicely kept but plenty of sand traps to avoid. Greens are large with lots of undulation. GPS was helpful. It was worth the drive .

Enjoyable, solid golf course

Golf course is in excellent condition.

Green fairways and rough.

No negatives about the course; an enjoyable day of golf.

Clubhouse isn't fancy, just a couple of trailers. It was nice to sit outside and have a beverage after the round.

Staff is ALWAYS Fantastic

Staff is always very friendly and efficient. I think they should start having a marshal patrol the course though, we were behind a group that took 3 hours for front 9. We played through at the turn.

Very little grass in fairways

First time golfing this course. Very little grass on fairways and ground was hard. Instead of getting a divot, my clubs would bounce off the ground. Hope they work up the soil and seed more grass on fairways. Greens were in decent shape, slower then most golf courses.

lots of sand bunkers

Challenging course with lots of sand bunkers. Some of the bunkers had very little or no sand. Fairways are wide. Fairways and greens were in great condition. Would play this course again.

Bring a few extra golf balls for this one

Starting out, it was expected to be partly sunny the day I played... it rained, for well over 2 hours. The wind was blowing like crazy. The weather alone had me 2 1/2 clubs short on every shot. I check in, pile all my stuff in my cart and hit the range... except I have no cart key. The starter sat there and watched me load my cart, and THEN told me that I would get a key once I was finished with the range. So now I have to drag all my gear to the range, not cool. So I finish the range and come back to my cart. The starter meets me halfway with the key and says "you ever played here?" We'll if if had, then I probably wouldn't have asked for a key to drive to the range! Oh well. So my wife is riding along with me, she doesn't play golf but I had to book her a tee time because hot deals are only 2 or 4 for this course, not cool. My playing partner looks like Flash Gordon, cool guy who brought his wife along as well. The greens were true, the bunkers were muddy (expected, raining), and most tee boxes were flat. There were a few very bad exceptions where I teed off behind the box instead. Lots of picture worthy holes, including the 17th and 18th. Unfortunately, I could not putt on either of those due to an overwhelming amount of bird poo all over the greens. I left my ball on the 18th green because I couldn't even find and trail to go get it. Very unfortunate, wish the resort would do something about the bird problem on the last 2 holes. I'd play here again in the spring or summer.

Greenest Desert Course Ever

Well maintained and challenging desert course. We had a steady wind to deal with, but it didn't ruin the experience. Lots of sand and water.

We got pinched between a foursome and a very impatient twosome behind. No marshalls seen on the course.

Fun course I will play again.

Terrible Course

We are snowbirds and started playing this course three years ago. Golf course had just been purchased and we were told be patient as they had a lot of work to bring this course back up to the same standards as their Fort Mohave course. Nothing has been done, terrible fairways and greens...one of the worst courses we have played. Don't understand how the owners can completely ignore the conditions on this course, even the ball washers don't work at every hole.

Cheap if you GolfNow, not if you don't!

Weeds, weeds, more weeds, and stickers too! Not much grass to sit up on. Lots of bare spots. So bump your ball on almost every shot.
