Lots of non groomed areas-lots of traps in poor condition- greens were in need of attention

This is our 2nd Thanksgiving in a row playing this course. We booked on line and saved $30 each. The weather was perfect and the course was in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very slow front 9 behind a foursome. We were a twosome, so it is understandable, but we wished they would have let us through earlier. They finally did on #10 and we played the back in less than 1 1/2 hours. I would highly recommend this course although I feel their $85 rate is too high.

This course has wide fairways so not to hard to keep our golf ball in play. Some fairways were patchy in spots, but overall not bad. The tee off areas were good and so were the greens. Overall it was a nice course to play. Staff were very pleasant. Loaded golf clubs on the cart promptly and were we able to get out on the course right away.

They need to hire a Marshall and keep pace of play reasonable. We had 3 foursomes waiting to tee off on seventeenth tee box

I had played here about 12 or so years ago and seemed to remember this being a nice course.

It turns out that my memory isn't all that bad after all. The course is out by the Avi casino/resort about a 30 minute ($40) cab ride from Harrah's Laughlin.

For $85 we got a cart, a few bottles of water (with refills available along the course) and unlimited range balls.

The course had a nice variety of holes and is wiiiiiide open in some places with adjoining fairways offering a shot to the green even when you are way off line off the tee (which I was on occasion).

Fairways and greens about a 9/10 and the course is well maintained.

17 and 18 are two great finishing holes that offer a good challenge with some water and well protected greens.

The clubhouse is nice and well stocked with anything you might need from balls to apparel.

The food was not on par with the rest of the place. Simple diner fare. There was a beverage cart and we saw her about 3 times along the way.

Service was was so-so and no one seemed all that enthusiastic about going above and beyond.

All in all, a very nice course in very good condition.

There's nothing a like a well groomed golf course... and Huukan is nothing like a well groomed golf course.

Every fairway had at least one if not many bare patches and even when in the short grass in the middle of the fairway you had a 50/50 chance of having a decent lie as the grass is very sparse.

The greens were in poor condition and it was nothing more than luck fro a 5-foot putt to hold its line.

Every hole looked pretty much the same as the last (apart form #18 which is a nicely designed hole). A very bland course with no notable features.

The restaurant was nothing better than a greasy spoon.

The staff seemed friendly enough.

At "only" $55 it's not overly expensive for an out-of-towner but not nearly worth the money.

We enjoy playing Mojave Resort as it is always in good condition and is a fun course to play. We have played here in 3.5 hours and but sometimes in 5 hours. The warmup area is great and staff and services fine.

Course was in great condition and the weather was good (hot for us Canadians). I was told after we played that it is normally windy but today the breeze didn't pick up until the last couple holes. Fairways were well maintained and the greens were short and quick. The rental clubs were up to date and had a full set. Carts have GPS systems. Over all a very nice course and will recommend it to my friends when they are in the neighborhood.

Was really a pretty nice course, did have some bare spots, but it looks as if they are trying to fix it up, fairways are narrow, which for some would make it a difficult, by other than that it is a fairly easy course, I shot 74 first time here.

Course was as it was described on Golfnow, it does have some bare spots and if you want a perfectly maintained course this is not for you. But it was fun, the staff friendly and the round worth the price.

This is the second time I played this course and I was very excited about playing it again. The first time the wind blew so hard it was not fun. The website is proud of saying that they keep this course in excellent condition all the time. Not this time. Firstly, the range was closed. The had just overseaded and no water obviously had been used. There was not one blade of green grass anywhere. Although the greens were very fast, they were still bumpy and the immediate area around every green had been shaved nearly down to dirt. Both greens and bunkers were like concrete. I also realize that singles do not get any respect but when I showed up, the group that had the same tee time as me had left over an hour earlier. I was left by myself with no one else showing up to play with. Told the young lady at the counter that I was rather irritated and she gave me a look as though she didn't really care. I don't really like to play by myself because I tend to play to quickly. Got through it okay but won't be going back.

Course had been mowed down for overseeding, however it made it more enjoyable on the par five holes as the ball would run. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Looking forwarded to playing this course when it is a bit cooler.

fun to play and good staff. course has lots of elevation changes that is challenging.

A year ago this course was terrible. Great improvent in a short time. Should keep on getting better with the new management, especially after over seeding.

For less than $12.50 this was a great deal! No crowds on this hot Sat. morning.

The course fairways are in good shape as are the greens. Stay out of the rough if possible.
What I like best is the 4 tee boxes which allows me to Play it forward a little as I'm not along hitter, the older I get my distance get to be less. The 4 tee's allows me to play golf and not struggle all the time to reach in reg.

In addition to three other pretty good courses in the Laughlin-area, there are only 2 "MUST PLAY" courses; Mojave is one of them and Laughlin Ranch is the other.
Mojave is conditioned a little better, due in part to enhanced access to water and there are times when it doesn't feel like a desert course; almost parkland in feel. That makes it easier to recover and less difficult.
Still, it has some of the usual impressive and rugged mountain vistas and there are a ton of rabbits all over the fairways watching your shots (and they don't allow mulligans either!).

Playing the Gold Tees makes this course even more challenging. I forgot how long this course can play with 80 some bunkers. But I enjoyed it, and that is what it is all about
