Fun course
Despite the cold and wind, we had a fun time on the course. We were paired with a very fun couple and enjoyed the day. V
Mixed review
My friend and I played the course for the first time on a twilight tee time. The best thing about the round was the pace of play — finished in just under 4 hours. The layout was ok; not bad, but nothing special. We played several other courses in the area and this one was the least interesting. It was also the worst conditions. It was certainly playable, but, again, nothing like the other courses we played. Because we got a cheap rate, it was a good value. It served its function as a quick second 18 on that day, but I would play any of the other course in Mesquite before this one, even though they’re more expensive.
Rough
Showed up for my 1:40 tee time and was told they put someone else in my spot. Finally got out and the course was in really rough shape. It is early season but poor conditions. The sand was simply dirt and hard as a rock. Five hours later, finished the last hole in the dark.
Casablanca Golf
Very good course for the money. Had a great time and all the people were extremely friendly.
Amazing Recovery
The days before we played there was unprecedented rainfall. The course was beautiful and playable. It was evident the staff had been prepared and executed course maintenance effectively. The course has beautiful elements and it’s not without its desert play. The carts were clean and ran with ease with no gps. We did not utilize the clubhouse, but practice range, chipping and putting greens were well cared for and prepared you for what you’d experience on the course. It books fast and throughout the day, so schedule early.
Very friendly staff
the greens on the front were a little spotty but the rest
was very good.
Golf Now no bueno
The staff was friendly. The greens were in really bad shape. The groups in front of us were slow. Got charged the rate of the day which was nice but no discount for what I had already paid golf now. Will never use them again.
The Palms is a good starter course, fairly forgiving layout. Some of the greens and fairways are always in need of some work and it is a bit overpriced compared to other courses in the area.
Poor play management/pace of play
Have played here several times and have always enjoyed it! But our game on August 28 was not good! We were behind a a party of 10-14 men and 2 marshals assured us that they would monitor the obvious pace of play concerns. As we approached the #10 tee box, after a 2 hour and 40 minute front 9, 7 of those golfers were sitting on the tee box with their music blasting! We returned to the clubhouse and called it day!
