two different nines
front nine was ham and egg while back nine was like playing another course. grass could have been better taken care of or mowed better. great views on back nine and challenging holes to place drives. almost no sand in the bunkers.
i'll be back
first time in Mesquite. stayed and play at Casa Blanca resort with my kids. excellent golf. staff is very friendly. course excellent. grass a bit long but staff explain to me why( Young grass + to hot weather) . very challenging layout. need to hit staight and long. i recommend to all golfer. take a ride outside LV. i Worth the trip.
had a nice time
we had a very good experience! pace of play was slow. there was no marshall to speed up play!
call first
always call course first to see whats going on with course and if they are on time.
Nice course
Great course. Plenty of challenges yet easy to score well if you are good at course management.
A week too soon
I have never played here but I picked a poor day. The first day back from over seeding. The greens were super slow and furish. The fairways soft and not mowed. The rough was beyond punishing. I liked the layout, but they should wait a week and then open it in better shape.
the course staff was very friendly
Course was fun but conditions we're bad, They were getting ready to over seed .
Fun landscape
Several blind shots from tee or into greens. Did not always guess correctly and the course could be better marked. Some tee shots up hill and some down hill. The course was a lot of fun.
Fun course
I'm a beginner, so this course is my favorite so far. The views are fantastic! And I have a lot of fun on this course, never rushed and very friendly staff
Needs work
I played there with friends. Course needs some updating. Carts are old and ours broke down. Had to wait for replacement to arrive. Battery cables so old and corroded that I'm surprised they ran at all. One hole that got washed away in a flood is not very good. Hit it in fairway and ball rolls in hazard. Needs some changing. Sand traps were never raked. We saw course OWNERS group play ahead of us and they NEVER raked trap after playing out of it. They didn't care about anyone behind them, so why would anyone else care. If you play later..look out for poor conditions.
Summer in the Desert
Golfnow offer seemed to indicate 18 holes. Had a noon tee time and was informed st course that I had to be off the course by 2pm closing time. Could not complete 18 in 2 hours. Understandable times for 100° conditions but would have liked to know beforehand via Golfnow site.
Still good bargain even for 9 holes.
Not worth the money
This course usually cost too much for me to play. There are other courses in Mesquite that offer much better amenities for the money. But, they offered a good price for around on GolfNow so I took advantage of it since I had not played the course before. The staff was very helpful and got us set up to play. The tee boxes were in good shape and the green were well groomed but slow. The fairway grass was dry, sparse and chunky and not mowed very well. I'm glad I had a chance to play the course, but with so many other great facilities in Mesquite, I doubt I will rush back to play at Casa Blanca.
Spent a warm morning
playing real fuzzy greens. Course has gone down hill. I played opening day many years ago at the Palms
To many better course in town to play
Seemed like and older course that needs some changing. Some good holes, but does anyone rake a trap here? Every sand trap looked like they had band practice in it. Plenty of rakes, but no instructions on how to use them. Carts seemed old and slow. New owner has ruined this course and people working here.
Don't waste your time here
There are other golf courses in the area that are much better... We would never go out of our play to play this course again.. The front 9 is like playing in a cow pasture...
fun course
Very fun course to play. Bring your sand wedge :) sand traps seem to follow your ball everywhere it lands. Very friendly staff.
easy course for straight hitter
Great condition, temp in upper 80s (unheard of for mesquite in June), and no wind. Be aware they close the course at 2 pm--only got 16 holes in--nothing was said at check-in.
Best track in Mesquite
Course is playing brown and fast. Play early and beat the heat. This course is more like a golf course.
Palms First time
The Palms Course is challenging, with some interesting picturesque holes especially on the back nine. Lots of elevated tees. It was crowded and slow. Heat is a factor, but towels and ice are provided for some relief. Cold water is available in numerous locations. Recommend going with someone who has played there before. I would go back again. Greens were in generally good condition, but slow.
So much fun
This course is so much fun. The front and back are like two different courses. The front is park style and the back has elevation changes and canyons. One of my favorites.
