Much improvement
Vineyard Natl at Renault has always been an excellent layout with challenging holes. After purchasing the course the owners did much work on the winery and wedding venues but only raised the price to golf while ignoring deteriorating conditions. Not anymore, the course while recently aerated the greens had top dressed and they where slow but smooth. Tee to green and the bunkers have all been repaired and upgraded. While I do not think the course warrants $100 weekend greens fees they are moving in an upscale way and the course and golf experience are high end. Well done.
Enjoyable golf
Busy but good pace. Beautiful day and good group partnered with as single. Fairways starting to wake up. Greens played hard and fast.
A Good Friday
It was a Good Friday to get out, greens were running fast. Course was full of golfers but moved well, had to wait for a golf cart but not too long. They have made some very good improvements and I’ve been playing here since they opened.
Vineyard Golf
The course had a college golf match going on in the middle of paid rounds. The match seriously slowed down play behind it. No warning was given to our group about this match. It put a damper on an otherwise great golf day.
Beautiful!!
You cannot go wrong playing this golf course it’s absolutely beautiful!! Fairways amazing and greens perfect. I must play in NJ! Looking forward to returning and staying at the Château with another round of golf!! Shoutout to the staff! Very welcoming with great service from the clubhouse pro to the starters and chart girl!! Had lunch and it was very good!! Beautiful grounds all the way around!!
Pleasantly surprised
I like this course, it has a challenging layout. It used to be a $35 to $45 course. Now their prices went way up. I don't play it during peek season. They did alot of work on the course removing trees and cutting down the tall grass on the rough. It is worth the money their asking but I'm on a fixed income and can't pay the price. If I could I would play it more. There are a few draw backs. One is no locker room to change clothes and the other is no food to purchase while on the course. I don't understand either of these. Other than that It's a good course. Also, I was told by an employee that they just bought the closed Sea Oaks golf course in Little Egg Harbor and plan on opening it June 1st of this year to be called LBI National. I hope they have good luck with that. The people that live in that community were left hanging when Sea Oaks closed.
