Good Day
The only complaint I have is I booked it on Saturday for a Tuesday round with a friend on GN and there wasn't any mention of aeration of the greens. I had even checked the Vineyard National website and it wasn't mentioned there, until a friend told me you actually had to try to book a round on the website and that's where they had a warning! The rest of the course was in pretty nice shape except the greens were punched and sanded, and the plugs were left next to the greens, just past the first cut .
I wish all courses just posted their maintenance schedules.
Worth the money
Not a lot of options near me. This was definitely worth the trip.
Could be better
Played there a few times over the years course didn't seem to be in the best shape today. Bar area is really nice but drinks are way over priced considering how small they are. Starters and cart girls are very nice and pleasant. But no ranger on course during our round to keep pace of play.
Great course
Very nice course. Friendly layout. Course was in great shape
Very pleased with the round. Hot deal made this course a real gem.
Course layout is awesome, between the vineyard. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. There wasn’t a lot of golfers so we played fast. Course has had a lot of rain but it was 10x better condition than twisted dunes, which we played the other day. I would recommend.
Interesting and challenging layout
Enjoyed the hole variety very much. Good conditions tee to green. Sand traps and sloped and/or multi-tiered greens test all aspects of game. Only complaint is the rough… thick crabgrass on much of the course. Friendly helpful staff.
A gem of a course in Southern NJ
The Vineyard now has new management and it is a real delight to play there. The staff is courteous and professional, the course is in great shape, and the greens are some of the fastest and most challenging greens on Public courses in Southern Jersey. They have rangers on the course that make sure that all foursomes play in proper time. I recommend it highly.
