Pendaries is a great golf course.
First of all let me say that it was very easy to book our tee time through your website.I have played this course several times over the years. Every time I go back, I'm reminded why I keep coming back. It is clearly a hidden gem but more and more people are finding out about it. It is very peaceful, calm and quiet up in those mountains. The course itself was in very good shape from tees to greens. The pace of play was just right. The people at the pro shop were extremely friendly and really made us feel welcome. I would certainly recommend that anyone looking for a different golf course to play, come and play Pendaries.
Diamond in the rough.
Spectacular views, and great golfing experience. Perfectly paced no hurrying, and did I mention the views. Carts are clean, great running condition, excellentlunch maintained.
Pendaries Golf
We began our round shortly after 2pm late July and the temperature was about 80 degrees. Three or four of the greens on the front nine had some weeds growing in them and a couple of greens had small bare spots but then the rest of the greens were in good shape. The fairways and rough were the type of grass that you see on most mountain courses. The grass in the fairways was a little long but did not seem to reduce the amount of ball roll. Due to a lack of rain some brown spots in the fairways. The rough was a little tall but no problem finding a ball. For the most part the course is a little tight and with several short dogleg par fours and you needed to select your clubs wisely. The staff in the pro shop and restaurant are very friendly. There was not a beverage cart but you can get a large cooler from the restaurant. They have a tendency to over cook the food in the restaurant. I would rank the course a 7 out of 10 and would play it again if I was in the area but would not drive to the area just to play the course. Some good mountain views and deer on the course.
Hidden Gem
This is a beautiful course. The scenery is spectacular. No rushed feeling. Lots of deer to enjoy.
Mountain track
Nice golf track! Some wide open and some tight. Nice mix. Greens where ok and fairways might have been better if they mowed it. Grass was kind of long which really slowed down the roll. Otherwise a nice golf experience. We played pendaries three times that week. Great value considering the excessive rate the charge at that other mountain course to the north.
fairways were fine, some greens a little rough, I know we are not suppose to play from the rough but when you do you should be able to find your ball. Rough grass way to long. Needs to be cut.
Pendaries Golf Trip
Great hide away escape to the cool mountain setting.
Expected afternoon showers and we got one for 10-15 minutes. Afterwards we played with the course it seemed to ourselves. Wonderful time, choose your clubs wisely course requires accurate shots. Lots of risk reward possibilities. Pin location and putting speed control are vital to scoring.
Wow! Treasure in the mountains
My sons & my brother wanted to play a little golf while camping close to Angelfire, NM. I am from CO & have used my Golf Now app a lot while traveling to different areas not knowing golf courses and this course & community was such a pleasure to spend 5 hours. Great pro shop, restaurant and course. We enjoyed the cool weather, homes & wildlife. I would love to retire & work there especially since it's open from April to OCTOBER. Keep up the good work & now your secret is out. GO PLAY!

Nice challenge in a beautiful mountain setting
Pendaries is a hidden jewel in the mountains of NE New Mexico. From the first tee, when a dozen white tailed deer decided to picnic on our fairway, to the picturesque scenery throughout the course, our round was once again most enjoyable. Pace was fantastic, as we were able to complete our round in just under 3-1/2 hours. Greens are postage stamp size, and target golf is the rule here, but big guns can take advantage of a number of holes to putt for eagle with regularity......if you're straight! Otherwise, it's hunting in the trees for you! Par 5s should be birdie opportunities, and two par 4s are reachable with a good drive. The S-shaped par-5 14 beckons, actually dares, the longball hitter to go for it in two. If you're willing to risk the mountain side, the tall ponderosa pines smack in the middle of the fairway, and a second shot that must gain altitude immediately, then go for it! Great risk, but awesome reward when achieved. Remember to feed the healthy chipmunks on the tee before going for it. Well worth the drive from Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Rarely crowded, and folks are downright friendly and neighborly. Enjoy this northern NM treasure!
Mountain fun
The course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow . 2 groups would not let faster players play through. Another group had 6 players and were slow.
Very nice
The course and staff are very nice. I play every week there. Be sure and bring plenty of golf balls

Had a great experience, played this course three times this week, on our way to CO, Super nice course, staff was friendly and accommodating! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good game of golf with scenic views.
Nice golf course
Very scenic mountain course with shot making and position very important. Played for the first time and enjoyed it except for the wet conditions due to rain and the slow greens. Reminded me of courses in Vermont and New Hampshire - true mountain courses with lots of elevation change and tight, treelined fairways. A few doglegs require precision distance off the tee as the landing areas are small. Very interesting and quite difficult for a short course.
Overall, a very good experience which is much different than the desert golf that is typical in New Mexico. It is worth the two hour ride from ABQ.
Country mountain course
On a drive back from Albuquerque to Denver, I looked up GN to see what was available, and this popped up for $10. So I booked it, quite a drive off the highway, but was up in the beautiful mountains and the weather was great. About half an hour from Las Vegas, NM, so out there.
Course was quite short, played from the tips, but you really need to stay in the fairways. Tight with lots of trees and quite a few blind shots. Some really forced layup locations due to the doglegs, and if you have not played the course, somewhat baffling where you need to go.
Overall, I would play it again on one of my drives between Denver and Albuquerque.
Great day in Pendaries
I had a really great day at Pendaries. The weather was excellent and the golf course couldn't be in better shape. Awesome way to spend a day! I can hardly wait to play again.
Excellent Venue
I had paid online but I had forgotten to take my receipt. Luckily Golfnow booked my tee time and all I had to do was mention my name and they said I was ready to go. Excellent! I even got on the course earlier than scheduled and played a round all by myself.
