Etowah Valley Golf & Resort is a 27-hole golf course in western North Carolina near Hendersonville in the Southern Highlands. The 240-acre property is home to a 27-hole golf course, 65 hotel rooms and two cottages sleeping 6-10 people. A casual tavern is located onsite as well as an event's center. In addition to the 27-hole course designed in the 1960s by Edmund Ault, there is a driving range and putting greens, heated swimming pool, croquet and tennis courts.Facts

Could be in better condition
The greens on multiple holes on the North and west courses where sparse with some bare spots here and there, goose grass and crab grass in several greens. Looks like they have had some issues with there greens
Good course layout.
27 hole course- you select each level to play. Friendly staff, well maintained and challenging. Good value for the money.
Day of Rain
The weather was not good to us. However, being from out of town,, we played on. Really enjoyed the course. Good condition and great layout, that is very playable with some challenges. I look forward to coming back.
Golfing
Course needs a little TLC. Nice layout but very dry. Good day of golf as the weather was cool and the pace was very good.
Always a challenge
Played on a misty type day which made the course play even longer but it is always a challenge. Course maintenance has been better, but will keep going back.
Great condition!
Fairways on the North and West courses were in excellent condition. Greens were punched on the West but they did such a nice job it really didn't affect my putting.
How sad
Booked a round through GN. They listed tee times on same day as Woman’s member/guest tournament!! Course was backed up over all 27 holes! Over 5 and half hours to play 18 holes! First time playing and will never go back!
Only bright spot was Toby the starter. He did his best trying to help an impossible situation. Also met some really nice members from the course itself. They were just as unhappy as we were....
Good layout in poor shape
We played the South to North as the west had three groups waiting at the turn and the starter gave us the option to go to the North. We appreciated his concern and compliment the staff as they were great. The south course was extremely wet and they had stone blocks to walk through the water to get to the tee boxes. Can't understand why they would send you out on that nine. Fairways were poor with very little bermuda growth. Roughs were not cared for at all. The bunkers had some standing water but that was not in their control as they do not drain well. However, many of the traps have exposed lining fabric and rocks, very poor shape, nothing to do with weather. I hate to see the course in this condition, it has a great heritage just suffering from lack of care.
Very poor maintenance of the course.
I Will NOT play this course again (at any price) until they restore the course to something better than an abused MUNICIPAL Course! Very dissatisfied
